Latest Landing View by Randy Smith - Ready, Set, Go...

Gentlemen,You may want to email Randy Smith [email protected] many hours of testing and tweaking, the 767 PIC Landing View package by Randy Smith is now complete and bug free as far as I can see. I have helped Randy a little with the readme file that outlines installation and other useful information relating to the package and also by testing each generation of his efforts to provide a good view package. The best thing is that this uses all default gauges except for the xml file that was first developed by Lee Hetherington and the taxi light switch first developed by Gauthier Halberdier. Because of this, installation of this package only requires overwriting one file, the panel.cfg file in the Wilco panel directory. Please back up your existing panel.cfg file and give this a try. If you decide you do not like it or for any reason want to go back to your original configuration, simply delete or rename Smith

Very nice. Thanks for all the hard work on this project. Does this panel work on the standard default PIC aircraft or does it only work on the Posky designs..Regards,

Hey Gremel, thank you. Yes this also works with the default aircraft. You will not have landing lights in the landing view but you already know that the default aircraft has no landing lights availible from the cockpit. Best Wishes,Randy J. Many thanks to you Randy, and the rest of the guys involved, Lee, Phil, Mike (and those I don't know of or forgot :-))A very Merry Christmas to you all and all in the 767PIC forum, and my request is in the post Randy ;-)

Mike,Randy & fellow PICersMerry Christmas.I have modified the taxi lights gauge to appear as a hidden click spot where the actual switch is in real life - to the left hand side of the Runway Turn Off lights - In the PIC panel it is obscured by the non functioning overhead panel brightness knob.I am trying to integrate a click sound into this, but without much success. If I can get the click sound to work, then this will be a pretty darn good mod.Mark

That sounds great Mark. I always thought it would be good just to get it assigned to one of those turn off switches but have no idea how that would be accomplished. If you can get something going that puts it right where it is supposed to be, that would be great.

Mike, We can also use it in the landing panel if one desires this and can make it a hidden click on the unused clock button on the leftBest Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing"

Randy, I am using your latest package, my display is 1024x768 and gauges in landing view are elliptical, looks like they are stretch too much <-->, anything can be done? On your screen shots they are perfectly round...Edward
