January 22, 200323 yr "With that update, the OH VOR will be added back"I must be getting tired or need to wear my reading glasses more often, "OH" above should have read "OR"Thanks Nick for catching that!
January 23, 200323 yr Im not sure if I can join yas for this, as on this day I'll be working from 10am till 10pm :(. That's Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time. Also not available for most of Saturday as I have booked a flight in a Cessna 152 at the local airport from a few months ago and the earliest time I could be online would be around 16:00. Would have been nice to fly alongside the ol' QF25 again, though its good that I'm flying anyway as it is . January 24, 200323 yr I hope you are able to pop in for one of the legs. We will be having almost as much fun as you will. Sounds like you have a really nice day in store.
January 24, 200323 yr I just got another note from one of the active controllers for our flight, Steve Clarke. He forwarded a note (see below) from one of the other NZ controllers regarding our routing. As said above (but with the wrong date) I will be updating the routing package 2 hours before the start of the event. I will have current wind data for all flights and include the expected runways/SIDs/STARs at as many of the fields as I can. Also, all of the PIC FMC flight plans will be updated as necessary. Please grab this zip file 2 hours or LESS before the start of the event: http://www.simsource.net/files/MB327/plans2.zipDO NOT DOWNLOAD NOW, Remember - I will update at 2100 1/24/03 GMTAlso, I am attempting to get a set of update PIC FMC SIDs and STARs for New Zealand. If I get them, they will be in that zip file as well.--------------------------------------------------------------Email from New Zealand:Clarkey,If you're communicating with Mike Bevington on this one can you correct a few things to make it easier for us ATC types.Firstly RVSM applies in the NZFIR so it's even's southbound and odd northbound all the way to FL410.Correct route AA-WN should be NP AKAVI SWUTH TR then STAR34 or STAR16....no point in going to Lyall if 16 is in use.Correct Route WN-AA should be OR RAN then RAN1A or RAN1B depending on runway is use...going via WI assumes 05 when in fact the prevailing wind in AA is southwest and of course normally it's raining.I have all the stars and sids for AA,HN,OH,PM,WN,CH,DN on file for PIC or they are at www.kiwifly.org if required.ThanksAndy MCEO NZFIR----------------------------------------------------------------Note to all: I had no joy in finding the STARS and SIDS for PIC on the kiwifly site. I am still hunting them down.
January 24, 200323 yr Hi Ilan,>The link I posted above has a version for excel97 too; it is somewhat limited in functionality though
January 24, 200323 yr All these fields are covered in the default scenery correct? Also, can we get some IAP charts for AA, WN, and YSSY?I know we got DP and STAR charts, but I dont recall seeing any IAP included. If not, I understand. (kinda) lol
January 24, 200323 yr >All these fields are covered in the default scenery correct? Yes>Also, can we get some IAP charts for AA, WN, and YSSY? http://www.simhardware.com/charts.html IAPs and others for AA and WNI have SY IAPs but they have to be imaged and put on the download site. I might do that once I get underway and know which ones we will be using

January 24, 200323 yr NOTAMPIC on VATSIM 1-24-03Please grab this zip file: http://www.simsource.net/files/MB327/plans2.zipAll Flightplans have been updated with current winds aloft and the routing is modified for the current winds.Flight Levels in New Zealand airspace:---Correction to previously supplied information---It seems the the original information supplied to me was NOT VALID as it related to flight levels for the two flights on LEG 1RVSM applies in the NZFIR so it's even's southbound and odd northbound all the way to FL410.
