March 21, 200323 yr That's exactly what I mean... Some have all sounds OK, other not.Maybe the whole trouble is not FSSound but something else? Do you use any panel modifications ? (Landing views etc)And... How can I check FSSound version ????It does not appear in any FS menu!George DorkofikisAthens, George
March 21, 200323 yr George, You need to go to your CONTROL PANEL then choose TOOLS then follow my screenshots to enable SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS Then To check FSDLL just go to your MODULES folder/and choose to VIEW the contents as ICONSBest Wishes, Randy J. March 21, 200323 yr Randy,I already have all files and folders, hidden, system and all to show, but I almost never use the ICON view...Thanks for the tip.George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
March 21, 200323 yr George ,go into your modules folder in the main fs2002 directory and right click on the fssound.dll, select properties then select the upper tab that says "version". I have alot of mods to my panel including landing views ,so its not that.
March 21, 200323 yr Hi,I don't want to add more confusion, but I had the same problem lately, no GPWS calls. I figured out that was because I had changed my audio speakers settings to 4+1. When I changed that to desktop speakers only, I got my GPWS sounds back again....KiekEHAMhttp://www.nicokaan.nl/
March 21, 200323 yr Commercial Member Yes, good point Kiek. I have 5.1 and the GPWS sounds only play out of the centre speaker. In other words, if I'm wearing headphones and volume OFF on the speakers, I won't hear the sound play in my headset.http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpgDS CVA3339 & UKD149 The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
March 22, 200323 yr !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Something so simple!FSSound.dll is INNOCENT!The problem is how you set up the output of the sound card!I have a SB Audigy and I had set the output to be Headphones.I could not hear GPWS sounds.I changed that to 2 Speakers and Voila! GPWS sounds!!!!!!The output is exactly the same. The headphones are connected to the same physical output! But it seems tha PIC763 does not like this software change of the sound driver!...Anyway, be aware!Thank you all for your help.George
