April 25, 200422 yr I am looking for an update concerning PIC and fs9, is there an update to make them compatible..or will there be another version? Thanks for any help!
April 25, 200422 yr There will never be an update for the current PIC to work in FS2004.There will however be a new PIC, PICv2, which is currently in dev.Cheers
April 25, 200422 yr PIC was developped for FS2000, which means it's been updated once, which is more then we could've asked for. It's simply time to move on to new thingsGreetz
April 25, 200422 yr It's not time to "move on to other things". The FS2004 version is in the works, and will be available when it's ready.Tero PPL(A)
April 25, 200422 yr today we finds the Boeing 767 in almost all company, and it continues to fly for long time, too bad !. then the 777 will have more chance ?
April 26, 200422 yr This is really a sore spot with me, because I loved 767 PIC then when I had peoblems and customer support that could care less about you're problem, I had to give it up. I really was sad when PIC had no support any longer.I would love to see it come back in a big way, Iwould be the first in line to get it.
April 26, 200422 yr You will find excellent support here for free...tell us what your problems are, maybe we can help...assuming you have read a manual at least.BTW - those asking about PIC767 for 2004, do a forum search, the 767 is NOT a dying concern.Rob.
April 27, 200422 yr My question I guess is quite simple and hopefully, will have a simple answer. For those of us that recently purchased 767PIC for FS2002, will there be an upgrade price or do we have to purchase the whole package again. After searching all the 767PIC v2 messages, that's a question I haven't seen answered. I purchased 767PIC when I was able to run FS2002 at work and FS2004 at home. When I got laid off, I debated reformatting my whole home machine to run FS2002 and decided against it seeing as I had a complete FS2004 set up at home. So, as I say, my question hopefully is simple.
April 27, 200422 yr Commercial Member The new version of PIC767 is not an upgrade from FS2002. It is an entire rebuild, new version, for FS2004.In other words, no, (nothing official here - just my take on this subject) I wouldn't think there would be an upgrade price. But, when the time comes, perhaps there will be a reduced price for previous owners... nudge nudge.Personally, I'll pay for a new version. PIC767 is by far the best add-on ever - I have rec'd endless hours (and continue to do so) of fun, entertainment and knowledge operating this fine product. Now, I'm off to install RFP 747... wonder how it will stack up?Daryl ShuttleworthDS 3339http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
April 27, 200422 yr Daryl,I highly recommend, as I'm sure Ian would, the new pmdg 738/9. It's up there with PIC.The RFP, although a fine product, demands a lot more 'hands on' flying. With a 15 month old littleun' sat on your lap it's something you might want to think about ;) - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
April 27, 200422 yr Commercial Member That advice comes about a month late - installed the 747 - yep, it's a monster all right.Daryl ShuttleworthDS 3339http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
April 27, 200422 yr If you just purchased RFP 747-200, don't sit back sipping your favorite cup of coffee and expect a long leisurely flight. If you haven't flown 'steam gauge' in a while, you will have more than your hands full with this aircraft. It's not for the faint of heart. The glass cockpit concept was made exactly for the express purpose of easing the crew workload. PIC767 is a superb product and I must admit alot easier to fly than this a/c. You might have to ask your wife or girlfriend to be your co-pilot/engineer for the first month or so until you can even begin to master this baby (per the procedures). There's one helluva lot going on and alot of the time it's going on alot quicker than you can react. Is it a challange?? You bet, and you had better not let this baby get a head of you or your completely lost....'finito'.....Good luck and don't give up..Regards,JackKGSP
