September 27, 200421 yr All,Ok, here's one for you all. What's WRONG with this picture? More specifically, what's the deal with this yoke?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/92502.jpg
September 27, 200421 yr yoke only goes to 65 degrees on a 767. not 90.Gary HayesNo im not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.P4 3.0ghz w/HT & FSB..GeForce FX 5900 ultra 256MB..1 gig PC3200 DDR RAM..Sound Blaster Audigy w/5.1 THX Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
September 27, 200421 yr It seems the artificial horizon is quite off too. The throttle is maxxed and the speedbreakes are out.. Maybe this one is in some sort of testing ??
September 27, 200421 yr Without being a real pilot,I would say that there is nothing wrong!!!There is no power to the aircraft, not even battery ( I assume), so everything is off. The artificial horizon just resting, and the yoke can be turned up to it's max 90degrees since there is no hydralic pressure!.Now... either the 757's or the 767's yoke can move up to 90degrees, the other only up to 65degrees.. But I don't remember which...George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg
September 27, 200421 yr >Wait for Level-D 767 : you will find the answer ;-)>>Laurent.Yeah...but the wait can be soooo looooong...I want to know now. :-) Best regards, Fritz ESSONO
September 28, 200421 yr Actually, it is obvious that the yoke is actually, level. It is the plane that is banked 90 degrees right! Did I win? Did I win? :-lolMike T.
September 28, 200421 yr It nust be disconnected 'cos the scale on the column behind is in the correct place. (Not part of the beta testing is it?)RegardsHoward Regards Howard H D Isaacs
September 29, 200421 yr Yes,There's one in every group. Someone who stands out above all other levels of knowlege. The winner is;EAMONN WATSON!Eamonn is exactly right. In celebration of Level D's announcement, I thought I would scrounge up a photo of the closest I could find. . .an actual LEVEL C. . .with a few twists! Some of you guys clued right in that we're looking at a 75 setup. And yes, we are looking at a "dark," cockpit. In fact, this particular box is totally powered down. Apparently, the sim's yolk will drive to 90 degrees when the hydraulics are unpressurized. The sim tech told me they have to completely power down this box to change the engine setup from Pratt to Rolls, and back. This "change," is actually what we're looking at.EAMONN WATSON. . .good job! http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/92648.jpg
September 29, 200421 yr Hmmmm .. nice ... maybe I'm missing the point, but what is actually "wrong" with the picture?LOL
October 2, 200421 yr "...and the yoke can be turned up to it's max 90degrees since there is no hydralic pressure!."Hi, George. On the 767, there is a mechanical stop at 65 degrees, so you wouldn't get the Captain's yoke to 90deg without something breaking. Actually, having hydraulic power makes it a lot easier to move the yoke on a 767. It is quite difficult to move it without hydraulic power.... and you probably won't be doing the mechanism any good by forcing it.Cheers.Ian.
October 3, 200421 yr Woohoo, What do I win?? LOL What gave it away was there appeared to be a white screen behind the windscreen.. LOLCan't wait for PIC V2.. Ohh an you all get out to charityflight.com and donate to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Kids and help us on our journey around the world.. :)
