GameSpy lists 767PIC on 25 best all time flight games...

Didn't see this posted here, but Gamespy put up a list of the 25 best fixed-wing flight games of all time and PIC ranked #23. They're being pretty liberal in their definition of flight games by including console stuff like Star Wars Rouge Squadron, Crimson Skies, and Ace Combat, but I think it's pretty amazing that PIC was included and that they thought enough of it to consider it a sim in it's own right, even though it's an MSFS addon. A whole load of people who probably never knew it existed must have read about PIC via this article.http://www.gamespy.com/articles/556/556463p1.html?fromint=1LDS/F1 should send them a copy of the new one when it comes out - I bet they'd do a nice review of it...

You're right, Ryan, it is an amazing accomplishment. Congrats to the PIC team! Now, those of us that have been around for a while recall the Eric Ernst 767 panels for FS95, and 98. It was that groundwork that made the commercial version (PIC767) possible. Eric, Wade, Laurent and Pedro created an accurate/realistic jetliner panel for MSFS that fulfilled what many users wanted: REALISM. They created the wave that has spawned many more succesful commercial panel/jetliner products for FS (my personal favourites: Dreamfleet737, PSS A320, PMDG 737). But, make no mistake, the reason 767PIC is #23, is because it really was a FIRST commercial add-on for FS that users LOVED to fly.It will always be the best because it was the FIRST!Three cheers. On to LDS767, and even more realism I daresay.Daryl ShuttleworthDS 3339

Thanks for pointing that out Ryan. That's a pretty major accomplishment I think considering that it's an addon.Regards,Wade

Sweet! Very well deserved. I, like DS, remember the Eric Ernst panels made for previous versions of Flight Sim. They were very realistic and was the reason for a computer upgrade because of the complexity for it's time. Thanks to all the PIC team and the LDS team for such great work on a great bird!Troy StevensUAL6210http://virtual.united.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

(Slightly) off topic....Is Eric involved in this project (the LDS 767 I mean...)? What's he up to at the moment? We had some great dialogues in the past but I've somehow lost touch with him over the years. Any news??cheersChris TrippOrstralia

You guys will have to teach me how to fly again though.:-xxrotflmao Of course, I'll have to split my time between flying an painting...I still like painting...a lot! :-eekRegards,Steve Drahttp://img47.photobucket.com/albums/v144/S...Dra/banner1.jpg

All,What an incredible accomplishment just to be included on this list! The PIC developers should be proud to say the least. Although, I do question some of the selections on the list.Personally, I find it hard to believe that at least one of the "Aces," sims from Sierra did not make the list. Additionally, my preference for placing PIC would've been much higher on the list. IMHO, until very recent times, PIC was by far the most accurate and immersive "airliner," sim to ever grace our hard drives. Here's to LDS for continuing to keep our beloved 767 in the limelight. And, here's to LDS for hopefully recapturing the title of "most accurate and immersive airliner sim to ever grace our hard drives."
