Does the installer require that my hard drive be labeld as "F:" I tried to purchase rthe flight 1 Bonanza, but I could never install it as the installer was looking for my C drive and on my system it is an F

I think that you should contact the Flight1 support directly about this question...

But after that initial survey, and if the installer finds a harddrive it's happy with, you are free to change your location as you like.I can't help you with all technical stuff here, I'm not that familiar with computers, but maybe you could try making a vitual CD-ROM designated C: and see if that helps, other than that the only thing I can think of is making a new partition called C: on your drive.Hope this helps a little at least. :DAudun PS I think there's a rule about signing all your posts in this forum :-hah

I had this problem yesterday.Afetr purchasing a new high speed hard drive to run FS9 solely, on, I copied the entire program over to the new drive. I then deleted 'FS9' on my 'C' drive. Then, on attempting to load an add-on I was faced with the problem that, the software was still looking for the 'C' drive! The solution was to re-load FS9 from my disks. After doing that, I have no more problems.Seems that your Management system remembers where the FS is loaded (In my case now, to Drive 'D') and won't accept anywhere else.Dave T. .........On the lovely warm Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/
