"You've missed your crossing restriction"
Hi Ray I see what you are saying, but it still is a problem, and it is always present when the pressure is at either the low end or high end. The point is, my "solution" works fine for me, there is no consequences, and we have to remember that this is not real world. But thank you very much for your response, I really appreciate your contribution to this forum, and RC in particular.

"You've missed your crossing restriction"
Hi Fabrice I have also run into this problem before, my "solution" is to descend an altitude that is a couple hundred feets below instructed, (ex 11800ft). I can see that this is not preferable, but it allows me to continue my approach

Black PMDG 737 NG
From your picture, it doesn't look like it's black, just darker than the background, which may have some thing to do with the method of lighting at the addon airport of your choice. Try an other airport and at different times of the day, and you will probably find that the plane is alright.Best regards Audun

virtual cockpit settings
Hi AndreaPress 2 on the numpad adjust your zoom and then press 2 again, that should sort out the zoom in EZdok. You will hear a "pinging" while the adjustment is active. You will also be able to adjust your position in every directions with arrow keys and pgup/dwn.Audun

Nodding Dog
Hi Could you please elaborate a little on what you mean with "nodding dog flight model", without knowing too much this a little like you are fighting the AP, and we are then talking about user error, not a bug.The Shark is extremely well modeled, and requires that the user reads up on how to operate both the heli, and its weapons.Dig it out, have a go and try to read up on how the AP works with its different channels, and you will find out what a great aircraft this is :)Best Regards Audun

And it sounds like
Just a quick question, do you have a headset connected which is tagged as communication device in the control panel?I had a similar problem, and found that the sound would travel back and forth from speakers to headset when this was enabled and tagged as communication device, fixed it by disabling the headset.

Modern Day Combat Sim
No you didn't hear "no TIR Support" :) Natural Point did have some problems getting a 64 bit driver out initially, but I think the last version of their software fully supports 64 bit, anyway, you have the choice of installing a 32 bit version of A-10, but that shouldn't be necessary as long as you don't for some reason insist on keeping the old TIR software. :)Further on, this is the Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lambo and Aston Martin all in one of Combat Sims, simply outstanding, the in depth simulation will keep you occupied for years, and are extremely stable in Multi player mode, I'm almost exclusively playing it in MP, and have to say that their to MP is the best in the business, very easy to set up servers and join, with the possibility for searching specific IP's if you don't find the expected server right away.Excellent support from the developers, and a very friendly an fun support forum with a very high ceiling for questions and joking, there are some epic Hasselhoff threads buried in that forum :)This is one sim that I can recommend to anybody liking complex sims, and if you liked Falcon 4, you will love this. And as a side note, if your into Helicopters, pick up their Black Shark sim also, same in depth simulation but in a russian combat heli, extremely fun and challenging, and will also be patched up to a compatibility level of the A10 sim, wich will give us the possibility of connecting both sims in the same COOP environment.Cheers

DCS: A-10C
To give a quick answer to your question, 60$ for this game is way to cheap, this is a civilian version of a sim ED made for the US Airforce to use as a desktop trainer for their A10 pilots. Everything is simulated to the tiniest detail, even the wheel friction on wet/snowy/dry surface is simulated.Hope this answers your question :)

MD11 Take Off from TNCM
Actually if I'm not completely wrong this route is flown with a little stopover on one of the nearby islands because of the short runway at TNCM, so basically they will fly with just a few tonnes of fuel to the next island and tank up there for the long haul home. I don't remember the stopover but believe the flight is like this EHAM-TNCM-(short hop to not recalled airport)-EHAM.Anyway, it is possible to take off with a light aircraft and enough fuel for the direct flight, I have done it couple of times, but you need to work out the optimum fuel level, and the best flap setting (not the highest). For that you need either TopCat (very good tool) or find some tables telling you the optimum flap with regards to your weight.

Slow Motion
Hmm, finally someone else getting this strange error, I get this slow motion now and then, but normally a restart does the trick. But I have found that an indicator for this is if you experience the animations from minimizing and maximizing windows on your desktop also looks a little slow. So I have made a habit of checking this before starting a flight.Whats causing it is beyond me, I have had this through several OS's and FS installs, and suspect its somehow related to hardware, but it is for certain a mystery :)

Twin Otters?
A lot of very good suggestions hereI second the aerosoft Twotter, very nice bird, but can't compete in the VC department. My suggestion would be Virtavia's BN-2 Islander, fantastic model and Flight model, beautiful VC and exterior, but very slow. its available at Flight 1

Oslo-Gardermoen (ENGM) from Aerosoft
Happy to be at service :Big Grin:ENGM-ENVA is also a perfect route for the upcoming PMDG-NGX :)

Oslo-Gardermoen (ENGM) from Aerosoft
Can't tell you anything about comparisons between ENGM and Orly, but ENGM is made by the same person who made Trondheim ENVA, which is very good. This developer (Jo Erlend Sund) is not part of the Aerosoft team, he develops for himself and then use Aerosoft as publisher.I have not got the time to purchase and install this addon, but for me, as a Norwegian, it is a must. Also I'm very pleased with his work on ENVA.By the way here's a link to a Norwegian forum showing the progress on the development of the addon with a lots of pictures: FS.noThis forum is in Norwegian, but I guess you can live with that :)

4GB patch download per manual?
No, the 4 gig patch is not necessary for 64 bit OS, these will already utilize all your RAM.

Good airport scenery packages
HiI am a little weak when it comes to airport sceneries :) have a tendency to by everything :DAny way, my humble experience is that Aerosoft churns out alot of good sceneries with alot of details, but keep in mind they are not to good at optimizing their code, so Aerosoft sceneries tends to be a little FPS hungry, but very good.UK2000 sceneries are among the best you can get, extremely detailed, and not to FPS hungry, but keep in mind, with much detail, there will be a drop in FPS.FSDreamteam sceneries, very detailed, very optimized code, good FPS, and I have come to like their add on manager, which lets you activate and change all the settings in game.FlyTampa is the sure thing, high quality paired with high details and almost no FPS drop, I would suggest you try out their new Wienna (LOWW) scenery, beautifully made.FSX have seen a lot of very good sceneries lately, and quite frankly it's just to pick and choose, but a little friendly advice that I'm not that good at listening to myself, if you find an interesting scenery, try it before you buy (if possible (FsDreamteam & UK2000 lets you do that)) or at least search the web & forums for info about the scenery. Some sceneries, like the latest EHAM scenery from Aerosoft are full of initial bugs and problems that needs to be fixed (not that that put me of from bying it :) ) and you should maybe wait for an update or two before you buy that one.Hope this helps

Martinair 341
Hi thereNot sure if if this is the case, but did your speed drop below vref? The MD-11 has several safety measures, this means that there's always some degree of autothrottle on, this manifests in a spool-up of the engines if she gets to slow, you will then get a warning in the PFD saying "speed protection".What you explained had a similarity to that, just a suggestion.Take care
