August 27, 200520 yr This post is pre-purchase.I used the great PIC 767 in previous versions of fs. Couldn't be happier! Now for the FS9 version. From what I've read. the fmc has a very limted sidsstars database. This is a major sticking point for a prospective buyer. I see no point in having such a sophisticated plane which doesn't feature a fully functioning fmc.Your comments on this point, please.Eytan OrnsteinLLHA

August 28, 200520 yr Commercial Member How complete would you like the experience? The FMC is complete.Did you know that airlines do not have a complete set of sids and stars that will load into the FMC?The growing list of LDS767 SIDs and STARs are available at www.navdata.at.Boeing doesn't produce the navdata that their aircraft use... the same holds true for the LDS767. Users are building procedures daily. If you flew the 767PIC, then the LDS767 is a must have.http://www.pic767flyingclub.com/siggies/ds.jpg The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
August 28, 200520 yr Author Simple. I'd like the LEVEL-D 767 to have a similar fmc list of sids and stars as the PIC 767, which had hundreds, if not thousands, even for remote airports.I'm happy to hear that navdata has them.Eytan
August 28, 200520 yr Commercial Member And who created the SIDs and STARs for the PIC767?The users.http://www.pic767flyingclub.com/siggies/ds.jpg The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums

September 8, 200520 yr Hello Eytan>From what I've read. the fmc has a very limted sidsstars>database. Also available is the largest worldwide terminal procedures (SID/STAR/IAP) database available at PlanePath http://home.sw.rr.com/filesherenow/html/lds.html . There are 1648 Airports with a total of 2810 SIDs, 1429 STARs and 5517 IAPs in the database. This resource is derived from the DAFIF and is normally updated every 28 days with current, real world data. I say normally because the database currently has a glitch where some SIDs that are designated for all runways cause the FMC display to not display the runway numbers. However, the waypoints are still put into the flightplan so the database is actually usable even with the glitch. I am in contact with the LDS programmer but we have not found the solution yet. I think you will find that this database combined with the airports found at several other sites mentioned will provide you the most complete database available.RegardsTerryPlanePath
