December 26, 200520 yr The majority are from a 767 cockpit. But not all because for technical and/or practical reasons, some are difficult or even impossible to record with a sufficient good quality in the actual cockpit. But in the final, Ben Brown was able to produce a sound set that brings the perfect sound ambiance of the real cockpit, as it was confirmed by actual 767 pilots.
December 27, 200520 yr I am very sorry if my post sounded sarcastic. It was not my intent. I was only trying to make a joke.Guess Im not allowed.Gary HayesLevel-D Simulations Development TeamNo im not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.P4 3.0ghz w/HT & FSB..Radeon X850XT 256MB..1 gig PC3200 DDR RAM..Sound Blaster Audigy w/5.1 THX Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
December 27, 200520 yr Thanks.... So was most of it recorded from an actual level-d sim? Also, is mathematical computational engineering used throughout the sim, to insure the sim on everyone's desktop behaves pretty darn close to the real thing? I know PMDG stresses this practice very extensively in all of their products.
December 28, 200520 yr Doing away with the techno babble bravo sierra stuff that others spit out, the answer is: yes, it flies about as close to the real airplane as you can simulate on a PC. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
December 28, 200520 yr Commercial Member But I THINK there is some computational stuff that warrants further exaggeration...http://www.ldsflyingclub.com/siggies/ds.gif The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums

December 28, 200520 yr Not that this is the case with the LDS 767, but that would actually depend on the specific r/w sim in question. Some have very good sound, while others are, at best, "not that great". Even two of the same make and model might not sound the same. ;) BobK
