Anybody know the center-to-center dimensions between the mounting screws on a Go-Flight module? It can be the 166 radio or another module. They should all be the same.I am building a case for some switches, Cessna style throttles and future GO-flight modules. I need to know how wide to make it.John

John,May I add my humble advise. You can build the rack (or case) from old computer case material. Wonderful stuff, easy to drill and cut with a jigsaw or even with metal sicssors (don't know what you call them in the US). After painting (dark metal green) the rack gets a real "aviation" look.I assembled that way 3 GoFlight modules. Contact me and I send you pics. One trick - to bend the material you have to prepare a simple tool made out ot two T iron bars. But that will serve you well for the rest of your rack. A few other tricks are in regard to the way you place a counter nut to hold that beautifull screws GoFlight supply with the modules (a dollar a piece!!!)Seev

Guys,I have a significant number of Goflight modules that I was originally going to sell when I started my "real" cockpit, but have since decided to modify them for my KA350 sim... for instance, I have 4 GF-166's: I am desoldering the LED displays and switches, mounting them on breadboards painted black and putting them on standoffs in my FDS panels. Then I attach the switches, rotaries and LED's with ribbon cables (kit available from Go Flight) and walah! - Instant com and nav radios without any sophisticated programming and using an established interface. Really easy, and from the panel side it looks just like the radios in the real aircraft. You can do the same with switches and the new rotary module. I am doing something similar with my LGT for landing gear lights and elevator trim... a pretty easy solution to some vexing problems!GoFlight makes a great product and is really easy to use and modify. Thanks to my pal Robert Prather for pointing out this fact :) - I was talking to him about selling my GF stuff to build an interface for all this stuff and he pointed that I already had one!-MitchBTW - I have a TON of those thumbscrews... I'll give 'em to you for only $0.75 each :)

I went googling for Dimensions of Go Flight equipment and I find this thread. Go Figure!:)They have a new web site..they have the dimensions for some stuff but not for all.. However they seem to be following some sort of standard so its not that hard to figure. They could have a seperate page for cockpit builders some of these dimensions. It would really helpManny
