March 5, 200521 yr George and Leon,It was not my intention to enter the software delivery and support business..... However, I might release an unsported binary version via my web site after I have done some more testing. Today I have connected most of the leds in my Overhead to IOcards. My first impression of the SDK is promising. Most of the variables seem to have values corresponding with the sim. There are just a few that are not working yet. Furthermore there is a difference in the real sim between the position of a switch and what actually happens. For instance the Left Circulation Fan variable gives you info about whether the switch is on or off. But if the Left Util Bus is off the Left Circulation Fan is off in the sim irrespective of the position of the switch. That info is not part of the SDK, but I think I can add it in my 'ldstopm' program quite easily, but that takes some time. Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
March 6, 200521 yr Nico, as an offtopic note, you are missing one I think on your frontpage, thus the banner on top is zero pixels high and I cannot see it since you have "noresize" set - and accessing banner.htm directly just redirects to the main page, thus its pretty impossible to browse stuff in Firefox now.. it used to work fine before..//Tuomas
March 6, 200521 yr ??? I have no problesm here, neither with forefox nor with IE...Nicowww.nicokaan.nl

March 11, 200521 yr Hi guys,I have completed the User Manual of my LvldToFs program! You may download a copy from my website. The program will follow after I have completed testing...Regards,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
March 11, 200521 yr Hello Nico, that are really good news. I just had some email correspondence with a new german user of LDS 767, and he complained about the problems to use his homecockpit with his switches and displays. I told him, that you or Peter Dowson or some other good programmer would solve all the problems in the next months. But I wouldn't have believed, that some of this problems could be solved so fast.So I have to think about buying IOCard and new switches with 2 independend LEDs for my overhead. The only I know, are from Knitter an they are very expensive. For the NAV1 and NAV2 I think, the new GFdisplay.exe from Peter Dowson may be a good solution. If it is possible to transfer the frequency and OBS value with the SDK and your program to FSUIPC then it should be possible to read th
March 11, 200521 yr >Hello Nico,>>So I have to think about buying IOCard and new switches with 2>independend LEDs for my overhead. The only I know, are from>Knitter an they are very expensive.Be careful, the Level-D SDK is a basic version, it merely supplies you with the position of a switch. You have to add additional logic via SIOC (IOCards) to derive the information about whether for instance the Left CircFan is OFF while the switch is in the ON position due to the fact that the Left Util Bus is off... I have added(optionally) such addional logic partly in my tool, but of course it can be modelled by SIOC. For some switches you then do need two leds. But be also aware of the fact that a single Master Card of IOcards can only drive 45 leds... So you need probably two Master cards two implement an Overhead completely...>>For the NAV1 and NAV2 I think, the new GFdisplay.exe from>Peter Dowson may be a good solution. If it is possible to>transfer the frequency and OBS value with the SDK and your>program to FSUIPC then it should be possible Yes, I think that's possibleAnother warning: my tool is just a 'liasion' between Level-D and FSUIPC. If one of the variables in the LevelD is not working properly, I cannot do much about that, other then politely asking the LevelD team to fix it. But if there are many users of the SDK that might probably happen. So I do hope that more people are going to use the SDK. (and again thanks to the LevelDteam for their great product!)Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
March 14, 200521 yr Ahhh, at last!Software developers with us in their thought!!!I pray to God each night that PDMG would come to their senses too. When do we, the 737-nerds, have the same for our babies?/ Olle Ramsberg

March 15, 200521 yr >Any help for mcp? I use fsbus.Sorry, I'll first concentrate on the things I need: the Overhead and a nice FSUIPC type interface for Level-D's NAV1 and NAV2 (including MAN/AUTO switches). Level-D has chosen to use the FS9's NAV1 in FSUIPC (address 0x0350) for their ILS. The FS9's NAV2 in FSUIPC is not supported. You do need the basic SDK to be able control NAV1 and NAV2....RegardsNicowww.nicokaan.nl
March 16, 200521 yr >Please Nico,>>Any help for mcp? I use fsbus.>Please guys, realize Nico has his own project to finish too, and it's his good will if he shares the software. He explicitely stated he doesnt want to support it, so instead of now everyone using LDS to storm him with questions, please look around, poke the SDK yourself, learn some programming too. Just because Nico first talked about a proxy software to make LDS work, and mentioned about sharing it, it does not make him "The LDS HomeCockpit Man".. :) It's not fair to stop researching yourself and expect him to do all the work for you.//Tuomas
