Not sure if it is related but just landed at JFK and Metar showing the following: KJFK 192251Z 27015G21KT 10SM FEW050 M03/M12 A2993 RMK AO2Yet landed with no visibility? After landing and taxing to gate, it cleared up showing the correct Metar?

It sounds to me like it didn't actually "refresh" once it entered the "lock to" range. I usually hit the refresh button once within the lock to range so ActiveSky switches over to the new METAR. You can always see the active weather being used in the "Active weather" box within the ActiveSky interface. Might want to add refreshing ActiveSky to your Approach Checklist.Damian, on these lines, might I suggest that in future releases you have ActiveSky refresh automatically once entering the preset "lock to" distance. As B777ER points out, it can make for an interesting landing when ActiveSky doesn't refresh until after touchdown...~ AndyMA825/KSFO (Meridian VA)kZAU ARTCC/STU+

>>it can make for an interesting landing Brother, you can say that again! Was flying PSS Jetblue A320 and thank God for Autoland. Was watching the altitude click off and heard the "Airbus" voice say "Retard, retard" before seeing the runway!

Hi, This is all due to the visibility issue and dynamic processing... currently all METAR information will automatically refresh at the force distance.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table
