February 8, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Everyone! We have officially started internal beta testing of MR1 today. We have made significant improvements with wind transitions, and in many cases the old FS9 wind shift problems have been completely eliminated using advanced route processing (including clockwise wind force to avoid FS9's wind bug). Cloud pops and weather consistency has also been addressed with significant improvements. Many more fixes and enhancements plus several new options as requested by the users! Thanks to all for their input and suggestions, and help providing detailed reports concerning Alpha 2!As soon as our beta team gives it a good go (and we've made appropriate refinements/fixes) we'll be releasing it for public beta. That should be sometime this week if everything goes smooth. Thanks again for your support!Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
February 8, 200422 yr Best of luck with the testing Damian, hope there are no nasty surprises. Many thanks for your continued effort to fix an MS bug, shame they couldn't do it themselves :-grr
February 9, 200422 yr hi as2004 team!great to hear and looking forward to the new beta! cheers, harald
February 10, 200422 yr Damian. Just wondering if the ability to resize the active weather radar has been considered for the fix?------------------------------------------------------------------Joe F."It's not the fall that kills ya. February 10, 200422 yr Quote from Jim on Jan 2,2004..."Not right now, but there are future plans."I hope so, but doubt it Manny Patel
February 10, 200422 yr And there still are plans for the weather display. And yes, plans do change. I never said for MR1 or set a date. If we do, what are you going to send me? -lol Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support:
February 11, 200422 yr Hey Jim, I'm sorry if I sounded critical, that was not my intention, I thought you guys were/are working hard on the MR1 patch to fix any real known "problems" with the program and that the resizing thing was merely an asthetic issue to be dealt with later. I realize there are many good suggestions being given by users and that it is impossible to implement them all at once. :-) Manny Patel
February 12, 200422 yr Excuse the ignorance Damian, but when you say releasing it for public beta does that mean MR1 will go to all users? Thanks,Scott
February 12, 200422 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Scott,Yes, it will be available to all. We started doing public betas since wxRE v1.6 and it has turned out to be a great way to provide updates quicker as well as test the software extensively before an official release.. Check the forum here or the website for the download link when available (should be sometime in the next 24 hours)..-Damian Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
