September 24, 200520 yr Subject says it all, I can look at the VATSIM weather via ServInfo, but what ASV tells me is always an hour behind that. Gets kind of frustrating during flights when ATC wants you to land on one runway but your wx is giving you something else...ChuckC-130H Flight EngineerDyess AFB, TXAMD 64 3700+ | ASUS A8V Deluxe | Antec TruePower 480 PS | 1.0 gig DDR400 Corsair TwinX 3200XLC2Pro | WD 120 gig HDD | WD 80 gig HDD | Twin WD 160 gig SATA HDDs | SB Audigy 2 | ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128 | CH Products USB Yoke | CH Products USB Pedals | Nostromo n52 | Windows XP Pro SP2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg Chuck Blake Intel Q9450 CPU ASUS P5E64 WS Evolution Mobo 2.0 gig Corsair DDR3 1800 TWIN3X20481800C7DFIN WD 750 gig HDD SB Audigy 2 XFX Nvidia 9800-GX2 Black Edition CoolerMaster UCP Series 1100w PSU CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 Case Sharp LC32GP3UB 32" HD LCD Dell 2405 24" Widescreen LCD CH Products USB Yoke, Pedals, Throttle Quad Windows XP Pro SP3
September 24, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi Chuck,ASV an hour behind VATSIM? This is uncharacteristic of our system... Are you using B360, and if so, have you tried forcing the primary server to see if one gives you more current wx than the other? We have one report of the secondary server being a little behind (about 1 hour) due to served file CACHE issues, and your experience might be related to this. We are working on that problem right now.. Please give this a try (force primary) and let us know your result? Thanks! Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
September 24, 200520 yr Author Will do Damian, thanks. I didn't have either one checked, but now the primary is. We'll see how that works out.ChuckC-130H Flight EngineerDyess AFB, TXAMD 64 3700+ | ASUS A8V Deluxe | Antec TruePower 480 PS | 1.0 gig DDR400 Corsair TwinX 3200XLC2Pro | WD 120 gig HDD | WD 80 gig HDD | Twin WD 160 gig SATA HDDs | SB Audigy 2 | ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128 | CH Products USB Yoke | CH Products USB Pedals | Nostromo n52 | Windows XP Pro SP2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg Chuck Blake Intel Q9450 CPU ASUS P5E64 WS Evolution Mobo 2.0 gig Corsair DDR3 1800 TWIN3X20481800C7DFIN WD 750 gig HDD SB Audigy 2 XFX Nvidia 9800-GX2 Black Edition CoolerMaster UCP Series 1100w PSU CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 Case Sharp LC32GP3UB 32" HD LCD Dell 2405 24" Widescreen LCD CH Products USB Yoke, Pedals, Throttle Quad Windows XP Pro SP3
September 26, 200520 yr Just thought I'd post that I'm noticing the same thing. I just tested this using the primary server. ASV reports system ZULU date/time as 9/26/2005 01:10Z and active wx as 252350ZThis was with VATSIM checked. Dave Paige
September 26, 200520 yr Author Damian and company,My problem can be officially counted as closed. After following Damian's advice and forcing the Primary Server, my VATSIM weather updates have been spot on.
