  1. Dang Bill, I lived in Abilene for 5.5 years!I've been simming since FS5, been in the USAF since 1990. I've been a crew chief on KC-135Rs and Ts at KIAB for 13 years, then cross-trained and became an FE on C-130Es and Hs out at KDYS. I just moved over to the MC-130H and am currently located at KHRT. I love to fly and I love to sim! I have a few hours as a student, was working on my PPL, but then I cross-trained and haven't really gotten back into it. I thoroughly believe that because of FS, I was able to solo and do as well as I did in such a short time. I believe this will be my last assignment before I retire from the Air Force, so it's more than high time I finished my PPL! It's good to read a little bit about all of you, nice idea this thread!
  2. Thanks Norman and Dan.I went and reinstalled the 737NG, and tried out the 747 and MD-11. Neither of them would work, so I went in and reinstalled both of them, 747 first, then MD-11 and everything is fine again. I appreciate the assistance both of you provided. It is nice to have a forum where you can go and get a straight answer without a bunch of attitude from those that are "obviously superior" to anyone else that posts. Thanks Again & Blue Skies!
  3. Hey all, I was trying earlier today to do a quick flight with my 737-800 and the sim crashed twice on me sighting my main guage file as the culprit. I think that somewhere along the line, the file got corrupted, no big deal. My quick-thinking mind told me to just go ahead and reinstall the -600/-700 then the -800/-900 and all necessary updates, but then I paused and wondered... If I do such a thing, will that ruin my installations of my 747-400 and MD-11? I thought I remembered reading something along those lines back after the MD-11 came out. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.
  4. Thanks Dan, much appreciated as always...

  7. Well, I bit the bullet, and went and put together a new system. I have the XFX Nvidia 9800-GX2 BE, and was wondering what the best drivers are for FS9? I am not interested in FSX at this time, just good drivers for FS9. Thanks a lot!FSX for me? Hey Jack, just go to flightaware every once in a while and check for flights out of LAX to NZAA. Here is a link for what I came up with using Flightaware: http://flightaware.com/analysis/route.rvt?...estination=nzaaChuckC-130E/H/H1 Flight EngineerDyess AFB, TXAMD 64 3700+ASUS A8V Deluxe 2.0 gig DDR400 Corsair TwinX 3200XLC2ProWD 120 gig HDDWD 80 gig HDDTwin WD 160 gig SATA HDDsSB Audigy 2ATI Radeon X850 Pro 256CH Products USB Yoke, Pedals, Throttle QuadWindows XP Pro SP2
