Corrupted main gauge file

Featured Replies

Hey all, I was trying earlier today to do a quick flight with my 737-800 and the sim crashed twice on me sighting my main guage file as the culprit. I think that somewhere along the line, the file got corrupted, no big deal. My quick-thinking mind told me to just go ahead and reinstall the -600/-700 then the -800/-900 and all necessary updates, but then I paused and wondered... If I do such a thing, will that ruin my installations of my 747-400 and MD-11? I thought I remembered reading something along those lines back after the MD-11 came out. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Hi Chuck,I had similar problems which occured after I had uninstalled a program, not related to PMDG.I at that time uninstalled in order my PMDG products and reinstalled them. You,I think, would need to do the same as the protocol for installing in the correct order will apply.RegardsNorman Bowman

The MD-11 will not care, but I think you can reinstall your 737, then run a repair on the 747 and that might work.

Thanks Norman and Dan.I went and reinstalled the 737NG, and tried out the 747 and MD-11. Neither of them would work, so I went in and reinstalled both of them, 747 first, then MD-11 and everything is fine again. I appreciate the assistance both of you provided. It is nice to have a forum where you can go and get a straight answer without a bunch of attitude from those that are "obviously superior" to anyone else that posts. Thanks Again & Blue Skies!
