June 30, 200916 yr Hey Steve, good to hear from you... is access to your UK collection back on line now?Hi Dan:Steve got tied up with an unplanned trip, and i know that he was planning on responding to this post. Maybe he has PM'd you, but if he has not, here is the 'official' line from BAVAs a result of limiting our bandwidth during the British Airways Virtual Downtime while we refreshed the look of the VA and updated our ageing systems, we took the decision to make the training section a members only thing. Partly, this was a result of minimising the bandwidth (understand that we are a VA with 1200 members and an extremely active forum, with huge amounts of training manuals and associated PDF's), however we also felt it important to ensure that our members had a certain amount of exclusivity for their membership. Sadly, as a part of this Steve Bell's SID and STAR data for the UK Served B744 and B744F Fields was also caught up in the locking up of the Training Centre.Obviously the work is fully owned by Stephen Bell, and he is free to do with it what he will. The Board of Directors of British Airways Virtual have absolutely no problem with Steve sharing his work via another File Server, such as that here at AVSIM, and as a regular user of the package, i would hope that he does. The quality of the work is excellent, and i know that Dan gave Steve some pointers along the way, which i am sure helped make what was already a superb piece of work even better. I hope that Steve does add the files to the Avsim Library when it is back up. It should be a must have item for all serious simmers that fly into Cardiff, Heathrow, Gatwick, or Stansted in any of the PMDG aircraft; as Dan's work has become for all pilots that fly into the USA.CheersPaul Is there a way to auto ignore trolls, flamers and any post with a +1 in it here?
