December 23, 200520 yr I also turn "Depict FS9 haze layer" OFF and set maximum visibility to 29 miles (but yours 25 should be as good). This gives me no sudden jumps in visibility (like crossing the 10,000 ft).Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg Michael J.

December 23, 200520 yr >reading "clear" is there any way around this?I don't think so. This is the tradeoff - you must decide which works best for you.Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg Michael J.
December 23, 200520 yr Author Commercial Member I am going to give this a try by unchecking the "depict haze" option. I might like, I might not... we will see... Thanks for the tip :)Tim Tim FuchsManaging PartnerREX SIMULATIONS website: www.rexsimulations.comsupport: www.rexaxis.com
December 23, 200520 yr A couple of questions about all the various settings...1. About the sky themes this is what I have, will this give me the most varied and realistic conditions to fly in?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/136411.jpg2. I noticed that Tim hadn't made a server selection but I have the primary checked since I read in some post that would be the best setting, any comments on this?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/136412.jpg3. Also noticed that Tim changed the default visibility from 59 -> 25 but what settings would then be best in FS visibility settings? Today I've been using AS's default setting of 59 and in FS I use 60.Don't know if it's just me but all these various settings are like a jungle to me ;-)!
December 23, 200520 yr Hi Web,1. That is good for IGS selections when processing a flightplan before starting FS04.2. Force primary for now because the secondary was under heavy stress. With no choice ASV6 will make the best server choice. Data is the same on both.3. Sight distance is best at 60 in FS04, but really this has nothing to do with visibility. Set that through ASV6. Some like 59 or 50. Others reduce it way down to 29 to get rid of the clouds being drawn in the distance for the first time.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
December 23, 200520 yr OK Jim, thanks!About #1, will it still be a good choice even if I don't process a flight plan before starting FS9? I seldom do but though this would give me the most shifting and new sensations to fly in when it comes to different textures used. My goal is to never know before a flight what the sky will look like just as IRL.
