Active Sky Graphics CTD

Featured Replies

Hi guys! I've been using ActiveSky for the past 6 months and just love it. However, I'm having a problem I hope you can help me with. I recently installed SP3. After doing so, Active Sky Graphics gives me a CTD within a few seconds of launch. Any ideas other than re-installing? :)Matt Zagoren

Hi Matt,First I have heard of a CTD with ASG. Can you be more specific about exactly when this occurs and what happens? Is there an error report generated? If so, the details of such would help.If it is FS that is crashing after using ASG, then I would check your Render to Texture setting (FS Display/hardware options), as this must be ON if using DXT clouds. Otherwise a CTD during flight load will occur.Best,

The CTD happens when I try to open ASG by itself. FS is not running when this happens. When I double-click on the icon, the program displays the splash or initial window for a second or two then poof - it's gone with no error message.

I can't open the program at all. It just keeps on crashing. I'll check event viewer tonight and see if it has anything interesting to say.

Hi Everyone,These are the only reports of this at this moment. Please try this: Uninstall your .NET installations, reboot, and reinstall .NET.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Just tried running ASG again. Upon the first try, it crashed within in a second or two. The second try was successful. Nothing in event viewer to indicate why.

Click ASG icon, ASG screen flashes then dissappears. Click ASG icon again and ASG screen comes up and functions normally. Not a problem really just odd behaver }(

Hi,This may be a result of a certain trigger file becoming unsynchronized. How is ASG shut down? Do you have it shutting down automatically with ASv6 or do you manually shut it down? Or perhaps have it forcefully shut down via add-ons FS Autostart?Best,

Hi,We have found the issue, it's related the asg interface option when, close ASG with ASV6 is enabled.Just disable it for now, it should be fine, We will release this fix with others as well in the next AS major update.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
