Hi,It is a trade-off situation: Higher t-storm tops with the chance of rain above clouds. However, this can even happen with default FS04 weather, so I leave it turned On.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Welp, I've gotta tell ya - you guys have finally done it. You've finally covered the weakest link in the Activesky application's chain - the speed limit.I mentioned this issue long ago, and it's always been a real bother to me. I realize you probably had lots of important core issues to deal with before you could allow the app to run at full bore. But now it does, and it's absolutely wonderful!!! Thank you very much! It freakin RULES!!And by the way - the issue I had a while back with clouds appearing over mountains when none were in the TAF reports, etc., ended up working itself out somehow. I kept waiting for it to happen again, but it hasn't that I've noticed. So now, ActiveSky is totaly perfect! (at least for me)Keep on rockin'!SK

Damian, I just had to rinstall FS9 (think I had too many addons and it just locked up) now I have a brand new install and am starting to put all (most) of the best programs back, Programs like AS started for me with 4.5, then upgrades, now finally AS6 with updates, Question:(1) Can I just install AS6 with newest build, or(2) do I have to start with first version and work my way back?? If it is (1), this will sure save a lot of time...........appreciate the reply RRL

HI,I installed this BETA and noticed a strange problem. It could have been there before however, and I didn't notice it. Anyway, I have performance monitors on my machine and I noticed that my MB and CPU temperatures were a couple degrees higher than normal which isn't cause for concern but I decided to investigate. I opened Filemon to see if there was anything in there and every 2 seconds or less there is a message that scrolls by pertaining to ASG. Details below:8:13:43 PM ASG.exe:3476 DIRECTORY D:FS9ModulesASGraphics NO SUCH FILE FileBothDirectoryInformation: trigger.dat Am I somehow missing a file? Do I need to reinstall everything? ActiveSky seems to work fine in the sim so if this file is missing it seems like it is not a critical file. Anyway, thanks for the help.Ryan

Hi Ryan,From the main ASv6 screen can you open ASGraphics? If yes, then you are OK. If no, then a reinstall and choose Repair is in order.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

You wouldn't happen to have this file lying around in your directory that you could send me would you?

I put the Build 485 in and now after I load a flight plan and try to start FS, a popup come on that says I do not have enough memory, then I quit ASV6 and start FS, no popup! Tried to refresh and other options but still cannot start FS, Have Igot some of the settings wrong or is there a fix to do......appreciate the input..........PS, thanks for the help on reloading RRL

Another one of those FS mysteries. Close any open windows/programs like explorer and try again. If that doesnt help try a reboot. Ive had this happen a few times after doing a lot of heavy scenery work and starting FS over and over. Seems quite random, but you never know ;)The trigger.dat file is not missing as such. If ASG is not running its there, but when you start ASG it dissapear. Question is why ASG is calling on this file twice every second. Guessing its some kind of verification that ASG exited ok, because the content is just simple text.

Hi Ryan,I want you to try a total uninstall-reinstall cycle. Please report back! Thanks!! Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

That was actually the first thing I was going to try when I saw the file missing in Filemon. But when I went to install, I realized that I had a folder with the SU3 and SU4 service packs, and the AS5 upgrade and the AS6 upgrade. Neither do me much good as they build upon the previous versions which got deleted some time ago. Thus why I was asking if you had that one file.

Ryan,Please drop me an e-amil: [email protected]!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Just a note on the loading problem, I just reloaded the update and overwrote the previous, and WALLA, Fs came up without a hitch!! Must have been something in my first download, or something was fixed recently, in any case all is well!! B42L8

Thanks!!> >Hope this helps,>Jim>>http://www.hifisim.com/>Active Sky V6 Development Team>Active Sky V6 Proud Supporter>HiFi Beta Team>Radar Contact SupporterHi Jim,I installed ASv6 and ASG like you asked. I then went into the modules directory and deleted all the files that were left. I then did a full install but did not install the SU4-B485 like I had before because I wanted to see if it was a problem with the Beta version or if it was there in the original version. I set up my themes to be WX-influenced, and turned on auto-submit and online updates. All other options were left at the defaults. When I loaded a route into ASv6 and all graphics were updated and ready to go, I opened Filemon and lo and behold there was the same error message.10:52:28 PM ASG.exe:3868 DIRECTORY D:FS9ModulesASGraphics NO SUCH FILE FileBothDirectoryInformation: trigger.dat I installed the latest beta build, and tried it but got the same result.11:03:35 PM ASG.exe:2304 DIRECTORY D:FS9ModulesASGraphics NO SUCH FILE FileBothDirectoryInformation: trigger.dat If I look in the ASG directory I see the trigger.dat when ASG is not open but it dissapears when ASG is open, which was the correct behavior mentioned above I believe. If this is the case then it seems that somehow ASG is still looking for that file after it is open and has dissapeared.Ryan
