October 21, 200619 yr I wiped everything off, cleaned the whole partition and installed FSX retail. As i read Asv6.5 is a service update to Asv6. So how can i install Asv6.5 without having version 6 installed first? I can't. But how can i install version 6 without having Fs9 installed? October 21, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi all,If you've uninstalled ASv6 you'll need to re-install it.However, if you've only uninstalled FS9 ASv6 should still be there, even if it was in the FS9 folder, unless you've manually deleted such folders. If you need re-downloads please send us a mail to our support address w/ purchase receipt info or login to the HiFI online sales system @ http://sales.hifisim.com/shop (if purchased there) or appropriate vendor's site.Sorry for the inconvenience in this, but ASv6.5 is an update and as such requires the original install.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
October 21, 200619 yr I sent an email to support and got back that is was rejected...Do you not take mail from yahoo.com?Thanks,Geofhttp://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
October 21, 200619 yr I did the same however I was able to install the ASv6 base package and point it to FSX instead of the FS9 install path. I then installed the ASv6.5 patch. When I ran 6.5 it would give me an error regarding my appdata folder not being readwrite or something like that. I updated the ASv6.ini with the following lines and everything seems to be working now. It seemed to be looking for my FS9 folders that no longer exist.FS9Path = C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XPersonalAppDataFolder = C:Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataMicrosoftFSXPhil
