Since my ASX is installed to E:FSToolsASX, my batch file looks like this:start /abovenormal E:FSToolsASXXEngine.exeexitI have named the batch file xe.bat. I changed the ASX shortcut to point to the batch file instead of Xengine.exe.I think your problem was, your ASX wasn't installed to C:programmerhifi....whatever it was.Find where your ASX is installed and use that path in your batch file.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

I must be doing something very basic wrong. Here is where I have installed xengine.C:Program FilesHiFiXengineASX.I made batch file Start/abovenormal C:Program FilesHiFiXengineXengine.exe and saved it to Xengine directory. Now I have xe.bat and xengine.exe in that directory.I double click on xe.bat and it says cannot find file Etc.There must be something not quite right with what I am doing. Thanks for your patience.Ron

You missed a space between start and /abovenormalYours should bestart /abovenormal c:program fileshifixenginexengine.exeexitLet me know if you think this is affecting your FS performance at all. I am not sure yet. When I get back from Denver I will do more sim flying and see.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

HiI was the original writer of the post for the higher priority batch file.Sorry answering this late, but I was on holiday, fine weather in Florence, Italy by the way :=) Another way to make this batch file is to simply start notepad and type:start /abovenormal C:Program filesHiFiXEngineXEngine.exeexitIt is important to check that the path typed after "start /abovenormal" is the path curent for your own installation. Also be sure to have a space between "start" and "/abovenormal".Save the file giving it a name like: ASV6_FSX. After saving. it might be named ASV6_FSX.txt. Change the .txt extension to .cmd. Place the file in the XEngine folder, see the path above or where ever your own installation of ASX is placed.Make a shortcut to this file to the desktop if you want.To start ASX with "abovenormal priority" simply dobbleclick the file or the shortcut to the file.Hope it clarifies thingsWothan
