Have saved the weather so we could share ;-) curious what it will do on your system should be the same... but even in the sim it was a large weather system covering a large part...Try the weather from 13-08-2007 20Z or from 12-08-2007 01ZCheers,Andr

Thanks Andre, I don't know why I'm not seeing the same thing! The storm is clearly visible on the ASX radar but other than clouds, (and nothing like Chalkman posted) There is no indication of it in game. The P3 I used in the NOAA package for FS2004 in the library. by Daisuke Yamamoto and Hiroaki kubota with Friends. I had to modify the panel a little bit. Give it a new ADI and VSI guage. I usd the KingAir gauges for this. Also integrated the ASX radar gauge to it.

Thanks

Tom

HiPerhaps you HiFi Hurricane hunters can build some experience data on Hurricane Dean which is predicted to reach CAT 4 over the weekend (Sunday) and let us know how the conditions in Sim change as this storm grows. It was heading for us but now looks as if it will skirt south and head for JamaicaThanksCarl Hackmanhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg

I had intended to publicly post a video on youtube but since it doesn't seem to be working properly on my system for some reason I uploaded it privately hence it's unedited, so you and some one from HiFi can see what I'm seeing! I don't know what is wrong, I checked and depict Hurricane option is checked. Have you installed ASX SP1?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJfe7nEU9A0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kczh7K_v8XU(No Music)

Just for reference: I have the Cloud Density in FSX set to max and I have the number of cloud layers in ASX set to 7. Without the cloud density set as such, I don't get a complete overcast condition. Curious to see what is in your video there Tom, I can't access it. Again for ref here is what it looked like on the inside of FLOSSIE: lots of complete overcast with regular blasts of thunder and lighting (this is dark because it was becoming night): inside.jpgHere is from FL40 on the outside:outside.jpgI will go get that p3 as well, should be a good way to check out Dean from here on out.Carl,Would be glad to do that. I only have a couple hours a day on FSX due to twin 18 month olds, but I will check up on Dean every day through Sunday.I checked out Erin last night and it was pretty much just bands of precipitation, and a little wind. At TNCM last night you there was a little wind and rain, preparing for Dean to come through. I didn't venture into Dean though, as it was far from ST Maartin.

I made the Videos Public so you should be able to view them now! As for the mod, I can't distribute for copyright reasons, but I'll put together what you need to do to get it to work!

Thanks

That'd be great!Ok, I see what you mean. You are using historical weather at this point? Or is this video from a few days ago? You should be seeing a lot more action going on. I appears that the storm just isn't there. At first when I got to FLOSSIE, I saw a similar array of clouds as your video. I just kept flying into the hurricane, and it kind of 'popped' in as a very, very thick cloud layer. I'm not sure what could be wrong here..

I just tried it again, and am getting better results, the only thing I did was increase maximum surface windspeed from 150 to maximum. I'll make a new video!

Thanks

Ok! Here is the new video showing Flossie's weather conditions at 2000ftObservationsVisibility nearly nil.Lightning storms all around.Heavy RainWind 13-18kt's at PHTO 65kt's on the outskirts of the storm and 90kt's there after. This isn't realistic. If the storm has max sustained winds of 90kt's they would only be within the center of the storm's eye wall. Winds would gradually decrease the further away from the center of the storm. While the radar shows an eye, in game there is no discernable eye, and winds do not decrease within it.

Thanks
