June 8, 200818 yr Hi,Try with no FSUIPC installed and a default plane.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
June 9, 200817 yr Hi JimThis looks like a typical FSFDT problem to me?I would try it offline without starting FSInn and right click on FSCopilot and close it (the 6 dots in the task bar)If it works and has stable temps etc then the internal WX of FSInn is not disabled corrctly as per the Wiki. If it dosn't work then thats it for my brainstorm. :)PS Jim...When are you guy's gonna make the mods so I can get rid of FSUIPC (no offence Pete) but having all these add-ons when we have SimConnect is silly me thinks?RegardsSteve
June 9, 200817 yr its has nothing to do with FSINN..... FSINN weather is not enabled And ASX has worked 100% until the update with FSINN Thanks Paul www.airlinephoto.co.uk
June 9, 200817 yr Ok Paul...A lot of people just disable the WX by the console and that doesn't work all the time depending on lots of other factors. The reason I posted was that it worked before the up-date and that is a dead give away...The temp changes are a known problem & all the info you have supplied is pointing to my thoughts provided. Vista has even more requirements. You obviously know what your doing then yes? So sorry for trying to help you. Steve
June 9, 200817 yr Dont be sorry I am very greatful.FSINN is off not only on the console but in the options too, it is off.I just tried ASX after reinstall still the same, 30deg on the ground, 35 on TO and @10000 21, 20000, +5 and 30000 -10 +20??? Thanks Paul www.airlinephoto.co.uk
June 9, 200817 yr Hi,No FSUIPC installed and default plane?Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
June 9, 200817 yr PaulOK, I here you but please, just for this silly old buggar try what I said. If it's not the problem you have only lost 5 minutes of your life. If it is then you have saved heaps!!Everything is still pointing to FSInn and yes, I might be wrong, but it's worth a try I feel.So you know the reason I jumped in was this statement you made "same probs here, now flying FL270 max, +55C outside !!!! very unstable, cloud appears then goes every few seconds." This is a known issue with FSInn. It has never been reported for anything else and yours would be the first in 3 years if it wasn't FSInn?Just for your info 1 out of every 5 cases the console and options don't turn it off. 50% of issues are it hasn't been initalised correctly after turning it off. And then there are those that adjust the settings "in game" that just never work right.Hey, if it doesn't work then it at least it rules it out 100% so thats gotta be worth it?...try it please.Steve
June 9, 200817 yr Maybe try this: Make a backup copy of your FSX.CFG, then delete it. That will temporarily get rid of any addon that could mess with simconnect. If you can fly without problems in this configuration then open the FSX.CFG and you backup in an editor and cut-and-past your addons back, one section a time. Test fly for each section until your problem returns.I've just been through that exercise to troubleshoot a problem where a Reality XP GPS would show in the 2D cockpit but not in the VC. Turned out that FSCOPILOT was the culprit, apparently there are known simconnect issues with that software.Tom Tom Risager NGX tutorial: http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=ftp&DLID=162360 SIDs & STARs Worked Examples: LOWI-UUDD, KSEA-KLAX, EKCH-ENGM, YSCB-YPAD
June 9, 200817 yr its same offline, makes no difference if I go online or off line, FSINN was causing this problem, until I disabled it and used ASX,then I have quite happily used ASX for two to three months now no probs, until the service pack/update. I will look into it some more, I am very cautious about deleting things attached to FSX as I have had major problems getting it to work with all the addons, which it now does. ASX seems stable until it locks to the next weather station on route, and the change in temp is huge. If I run it without entering the flight plan it does seem ok. Weird hey...I have been in deleted all temp/config files for ASX, which did cure the problem for three or four long haul flights, but then returned again. Will try Jims recommendations, I did post on Peter Downsons site also, and some others have also posted the same fault as me.Thanks guys, will try and remove a few things and see what happens.rgdsPaul Thanks Paul www.airlinephoto.co.uk
June 9, 200817 yr Never seen any add-ons in the cfg file Tom, but that doesn't say they arn't there :) Only ever seen Trusted files and settings etc.The FSCopilot issue that you refer to was addressed some time ago. It was found that FSCP must be last in the dll stack to enable correct connection and stop conflicts with other software. All these issues are listed in the Wiki so I would imagine that "everybody" has read them and checked...lol...not..You know the day we learn to read, the forum guy's will have a big big party... :)LaterSteve

June 9, 200817 yr Ok Paul, well there's a first time for everything I spose, but that isn't a help for you I know. :(The strange thing is, and reading back through all the posts, something simple must be the problem. If I have got it right you have removed the FSUIPC.dll file from the modules folder to stop that working, done the same with FSCopilot, started ASX and then launched FSX from ASX, loaded a default jet aircraft, when the sim started you went to add-ons to make sure FSInn/Copilot/FSUIPC wasn't listed, took off and flew to FL350 and had a Temp of +50 degrees and this changes from + to - over a given time. That's just so so strange.I'm getting back on the drink, can't hurt the brain more than this stuff.I do not know enough about the other software to offer anymore ideas sorry just FSFDT software.Good luckSteve
June 9, 200817 yr hehe, no the temp changes everytime ASX hits a new weather station, but its not a subtle change, but an instant drop or climb, so @ 330000 I may have -11, then for no reason apart from ASX updating itself, +3 or what ever, plane plummits like a stone, overspeed etc.I will post back when I have done what you guys have said.Get me a drink too, whiskey taThanks Thanks Paul www.airlinephoto.co.uk
