May 12, 200818 yr *Edited and pinned for support reference************Please ensure FSUIPC's "Allow FS changes to own weather" is checked off if you experience fog problems with the latest versions of FSUIPC. Details in this thread.****************************************************Just landed in EDDM. METAR: 121920Z 09007KT CAVOK 17/03 Q1015 NOSIG.Below 100 ft AGL I had so much fog that I couldnt see anything. Want a shot? And the TAT is +39 Regards, Christoph Reppel (FSX, Win7 64-bit, I7)

May 12, 200818 yr Hi,I just tried and everything matched up. Was this with a default plane?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 13, 200818 yr Same problem here with SP3 in flightplan mode. Flew KRNO - KSFO. The upper level visibility never transitioned away from ground visibilty 10SM the whole way at FL260. KSFO weather was 10SM FEW13 BKN 110. Outside the outer marker I flew into a fog layer that caused a screen whiteout until minimums, then the fog cycled on and off all the way down to touchdown (flickering). Never had this problem with SP2. Reverting until this gets nailed down and solved. Ryan Kelly

May 13, 200818 yr OK, so FSUIPC is installed on all these machines.Next, remove FSUIPC and see if you can duplicate this.More information: it is known that FSUIPC MAY have an influence on this. Our resident expert, jordanal, has put in many hours working with Pete on this issue. In the past few days he has even posted such at Pete's forum. Of course we know that Pete is on holiday until next week and will then return to this. So we need to wait, collect more information, and see what happens. Please, please, please, remove FSUIPC and see what happens and keep reporting things in this thread. Thanks for all your help in this.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Hopefully when Pete returns he and others can get the kinks worked out. No offense to HiFi Sim, but FSUIPC's method of wind smoothing is amazing & something that I would rather not live without. May 16, 200818 yr Commercial Member When my weather gets a little funky and stuff is there that shouldn't be, Hurricanes are a good example I delete all my *.wx file's and stuff seems to clear up. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
May 16, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi Ryan,Its worth a check to see if any options in FSUIPC 4.28 are causing this.Of course the FSUIPC wind smoothing is 'superior', this has to do with us being limited to using the simconnect interface, and FSUIPC 4.25+ using outside 'tricks' to accomplish smoothing. Peter Dowson was able to work a miracle here. We strongly recommend FSUIPC when using FSX for this and other reasons.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
May 17, 200818 yr Gents,in FSUIPC is a check box "Allow changes to FS own weather". Uncheck this. It helped me to finally get rid of this fog. This will *not* disable wind smoothing.Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
