Driver for nVidia card?

Featured Replies

I have just installed a new video card(GeForce FX 5200 AGP 128 mb DDR with driver 5304)(I know, could have done better, but all I can afford at the time). What DRIVER have you guys and gals found that works best with this type of card and FS2004? Running on an ASUS A7V8X board, 512 mb, Athlon 2400+, 266 FSB. Thanks for your thoughts.GLB

GLB,I sent an email to you. Let me know what you think.

what is this, a secret????sherm

Looks like it doesn't it :-( Anthony

I didn't mean to sound "secret" here. Sorry. I thought since the original post was machine/video card specific, I would send my reply directly to the original poster. He also sent me a direct email so I thought I would let him know that I replied. What I told him was that the latest drivers from NVIDIA site should work fine on the FX5200. I did not notice much difference in the old or new release. Your mileage may vary. I also told him to look at the Guru3D site to try some of the drivers there. These "modified" drivers are what I use for my overclocked (I know, please don't laugh)FX 5200. They also work fine without any hiccups in my system. Of course, you have to be carefule when overclocking and/or using modified drivers.Good Luck,

I don't have a 5200, but the ForceWare 62.01s at guru3d seem to be quite popular. Don't forget to run driver cleaner before installing! Also, try the hardware forum for this kind of stuff!sg
