March 21, 200521 yr Very curious as to whether or not SLI makes a difference in FS9. The claims for other games are a douobling of rendering speed. I'm about to build a new system and really considering this.Dave
March 21, 200521 yr Wrong forum, this will no doubt get moved to the hardware forum.Bottom line is, SLI doesn't do a whole lot for FS9, not worth the coin right now.
March 21, 200521 yr Nope, it will actually decrease your performance in FS9. Maybe/Hopefully in FS10.
April 7, 200521 yr Very few games are sli compatible at present but I would assume theat fs10 will be good to go. I have an sli system but run fs9 on just the 1 card at X16pciE and it is sooo smooth. When fs10 is eventually released then I will convert back to sli mode. Keith Sandford.
April 12, 200521 yr Thanks for the input. I am about to order a new system...I've always done my own upgrades before, but decided to get an ABS SLI system with one card for now. If FS10 is SLI I'll buy an additional card. Here is what I'm getting:ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxeathlon FX55Thermaltake K450 for AMDCorsair XMS Xtra-Low Latency DDR PC3200 2-gigsnVidia Geforce 6800 Ultra with 256 meg 2 74Gig WD Raptor 10,000 rpm Raid 0The interesting thing is that it will cost me $230 more than if I ordered all the pieces and built it myself. If ABS burns it in properly they will have the replacement problems taken care of before I get it...saves me more than $230 in headaches! (I hope!)Dave Sheridan
April 12, 200521 yr OK..IF SLI does not increase performance... does it atleast allow me to have 4 monitors?:) Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
