June 18, 200619 yr Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone could help me.Turns out that I bought a nice Dell Dimension 5150 two days ago, and it has Pentium Dual Core processor 2.8 gHz, 1gb of RAM, and integrated intel graphics (256mb). But the graphics were bad so my brother bought me a nVidia GeForce 7300 GS (256mb, PCI-e), and although there are better cards, it runs the games much greater than my old ATI Radeon 9600. So my new videocard kinda joined her memory with the integrated memory and now I have some beautiful 512 mb of video memory. My Flight Simulator runs smoother than ever, now I can set the traffic to 100% without having problems and everything is nice. The only problem I have is that when I choose a plane, it doesnt show up in the "plane selection" window....no plane is visible, not even the original planes. Does it have anything to do with my videocard? Please help me with this I beg you! Thanks a lot!
June 18, 200619 yr Sounds like a video driver issue. I suggest you try a few different ones.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
June 19, 200619 yr It is, indeed, a driver issue. I don't use Nvudea drivers but a search of the forum will get him the answer. Are you sure you don't have 256 megs on your vid bios boot screen?I have never heard of that happening before, ever. (!) If it does happen, someone confirm this for my knowledge. Usually, whenever you buy a graphics card, the onboard vid mem is disabled...not 'combined' with the new card.Rhett Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

June 24, 200619 yr I'm not the expert, but I think using an onboard vid card with a plug in card would be determined by whether your bios would allow such a configuration. I know that on my asus board, the on board card bios choice is is either on or off...Sherm
