Yesterday..I got the Blue screen of death while doing one of the FSX missions.. with the usual blue screen message... 'Memory or Driver problem' ..Hmmmmmmm.... When I restarted... it took me to Microsoft website where it explained that some driver maybe creating a conflict.The only driver I had there was the included drivers that came with the ASUS utlity disk (MB Sound drivers as well) and the latest nVidia driver. 4.7??So I downloaded the Prime95 and ran two sessions. Affinity to 0 and 1. I let it run in the night. When I got up this morning and went to check my PC. It looked like PC had rebooted. Hmmmm Not good at all I looked at prime001.txt or somefile like that... didn't see anything that said there was a problem. I don't know how I would know there is a problem with Prime96. What shold I look for?I am just running Memtest-86 v3.2. It has done 2 pass with 0 errors. Don't know how long I should run this memtest.I might stop this for now and start the prime96 all overagain. Is this with Vista or XP??If XP..Does your dell copy of XP include SPII?? (Your still on the Dell copy right now arn't you??)

Chuck..Yeah.. Its Dell XP (it has a 30 day acitviation time) and it has SPII included in it.I stopped the memtest. It ran 5 cycles with 0 errors.I am now running the Prime95 again. I plan to run this until 6:00PM or so. Then pull out the HD that I have an RMA for. Reinstall Winxp on the other HD and do this prime test all over again. Don't know if it was the nVidia driver or something else.I need to turn off the sound in the MB..Let me go read how to do that. (this way, I can eliminate installing that driver). I do intent to move the Sound card from my other PC anyway.Manny

Prime95 has been running for almost 24hrs and no problem reported.I did two threads. 1. "blend" test on affinity 0 and another on affinity 1. the Large FFTs (for 18 hrs) and Small FFTs (for 3 hrs ..and still running)Thats good.Manny
