January 9, 200719 yr >Hey Buck>I know you are running the 8800 GTX but I am hoping someone>else might be running it and be able to help as well. I can>not get FS9 to recognize the AA/AF settings I am setting in>the Nvidia CP. I started by removing my 7900 GTX and 7800 GTX>cards drivers. Then I rebooted to Safe Mode, ran driver>cleaner,Ccleaner and registry mechanic.>Rebooted back to normal and so far I have tried the 97.92,>97.44, 97.28 and no matter what I set in global settings and>profile settings, FS seems to ignore it and does not apply any>AA. I have also let FS rebuild its config to no avail. > >I am really hoping someone can help me as I have a second 8800>GTX on the way and I am not having any luck with my first...>Thank in advance,>-Paul>>>Primary Rig>Liquid Cooled>AMD FX-57 @ 3 gigs>Asus A8NSLI-Premium>2 gigs Corsair XMS PC3500LL 2 3 2 6 1T>Dual XFX 8800 GTX @ 2 gigs.>24 inch Widescreen LCD>Dual 19 inch LCD's>Raid-0+1>PCPower and Cooling 1k Quad SLI>http://home.comcast.net/~psolk/3monitorsa.html>>Backup Rig>AMD 4000 San Diego @ 2.7>2 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2>XFX 7900 GTX>Raid-0>I just set AA/AF from the task bar icon after I did a fresh install of XP Pro. No jaggies anywhere, PMDG aircraft look marvelous.Using 97.44 drivers I got from NV.Had no problems setting up the Quad. I learned a long time ago to get whatever drivers I need beforehand. Beware, ASUS does not include SATA drivers on floppy's. They do have a DOS extractor on the included CD under the utility's tab, you can do it on any machine.I noticed with Media Player-11, you can watch Tim Russert on Sunday morning full screen, just like TV.

January 9, 200719 yr Author Hey Buck, If you are using the taskbar icon then are you only seeing 4X AA as the max? When I try a classic Control Panel or the systray method I am limited to 4X/16X. When I go to the new CP I can get all the way up to 16X/16X which is what I am now running and could not be happier. Just curious if you had the same limitation.I really hate the new CP, much more confusing...-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
January 9, 200719 yr >"I wonder how loud it is compared to the 510 SLI. Probably>about the same??">>I've read folks say they are "Loud"...Do you think so?? I>don't...I've had a couple of 510 SLI's and the 1kw SLI...I>can't say any of them I consider terriably loud?? Maybe I'm>just wierd??>No it's not "loud" at all to me. I think most of the people that think they are loud are used to low-db office computers, or they are not used to high performance power supplies, or they are just kids that don't know jack. The latter prob most likely. If you want loud, get my old PC Power & Cooling 300 watt Turbo-Cool. That thing *is* loud. By any standard. But it is 10 years old now, and still going strong in my backup computer.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2310 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 2.5-3-3-8 (1T), WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian case Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

January 14, 200719 yr Reguarding the Origional Topic about FS9 not recognising the AA/AF Settings ect...I'm in the process of some parts swapping, formating and re-installations...I now remember my version of "The Deal"...I was having the same issue...Then I remembered...I create a NEW FS Profile...Even if there is a Factory Supplied FS9 or FSX profile..I don't use it...I click on Add New Profile...Point it to the FS9.exe...And make another...I have had good results with this method...I Really Like the Guru3D 97.28's..."How
