Is Flight Sim Graphics Solutions Available For FSX Yet ?

Featured Replies

I was interested in using this service but don't think it's available yet for FSX. I looked at their web site and saw no mention of it. I'm running both FS9 and FSX and can't believe the difference in frame rates. That's with a AMD 4800+ 2X, a new 8800 GTX video card, and 2GB of RAM. I get an easy triple the frame rates in FS9 over FSX.Considering the head spinning amount of tweaking that everyone is doing to get it to run half way decent I would think FS-GS would be all over this by now. Has anyone heard if they will be offering their services on the latest version?Thank You,Hans Groenewold

I dont know but looking at FS-GS forums, there is not much happening anymore.

Could be smoke and mirrors but there was a good review on it here not too long ago and they have a lot of testimonials as well. Of course you can take that with a grain of salt.I just don't feel like spending all my free time tweaking on a sim again instead of flying. The tweaking is what drove me away from this hobby for two years. At least with FS9 I can enjoy it and I have all my add-ons but that's been beat to death here.Hans

I use FSGS for both FS9, FSX, and will use it as long as FS exists, yes they are doing FSX.

I saw a price of 60 Euro, is that correct? How long did it take you to get FSX squared away and are you happy with the results? Do they incorporate any of the tweaks mentioned here?Hans

It's 70 euros last I knew, and the rest depends on your system, I cant speak for them, go to www.fsgs.com or email them at [email protected] far as happy, to me FSGS is like the American Express commercial, I wouldnt't leave home, errrr fly FS, without it :-)

Thanks for the info. Hans

One thing I forgot to mention, you dont pay a dime until AFTER you are done with the service and satisfied, which of itself is amazing, considering the nature of the internet

Hi Hans,Sorry for the off-topic. I also have the 4800+ X2 AMD CPU (with an A8N32-SLI Deluxe mainboard and a 7950/512MB video card). Are you running the AMD dual core driver and the XP SP2 hotfix? Also the AMD dual core optimizer? I'm running the first 2, but have not done much more to optimize performance. Are you locking the FSX to one core with Affinity? Thanks, Bruce.
