September 26, 200718 yr Hi All,Upon downloading & installing the latest nvidia drivers (version 163.69) for my 8800GTX I noticed nhancer doesn't work anymore (dll-error). Anyone else got this problem?I allso noticed nvidia knows of some issues with fsx, but they say it's not related to nvidia in the release notes.Greets,Jeroen
September 26, 200718 yr Yea, got it too with the 163.71 driver as well. There is a thread subject "nHancer + 163.69" (something to that affect) over in the Guru3d forums about this. Attached to a post in this thread is a substitute nvapps.xml file which you throw into your winsystem32 directy over writting the originial to fix this issue.I think it was also in this same thread that I read that a new version of nHancer is about to be released as well.Good luck. September 26, 200718 yr >I allso noticed nvidia knows of some issues with fsx, but they>say it's not related to nvidia in the release notes.>nVidia said that?Ok, Microsoft says it's not Microsoft. And now nVidia says it's not nVidia.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
September 27, 200718 yr Thanks for the info, I'll try that when I get home. The Nvidia comments on FSX issues in their release notes can be found here:http://uk.download.nvidia.com/Windows/163....lease_Notes.pdfJust search for simulator in the PDF and you'll find them. The good thing is at least they know there are some issues, the bad thing is that it's apparently not clear who'se causing them.Jeroen
September 27, 200718 yr The error "GeForce 8800GTX: Flight Simulator -- the terrain changes to low resolution when switching from Air Traffic-controlled to player-controlled airplane" #304840.....this is a by-design issue. It is not a driver issue.I guess nVidia will figure that out after wasting their time on it...RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
September 27, 200718 yr Sadly, I see nothing in those release notes about the purple water at night with 7-series nVidia cards.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
