December 20, 200718 yr Your friend's PC will run FSX very well. The only thing I would add is a second diskdrive for FSX, but it will work with just one drive as well. And yes, you should be able to overclock the Q6600 to 3.0 or 3.2 GHz without any modification. Bert
December 20, 200718 yr Hi,I have the Gigabyte GA-P35_DS3R MB with a Core 2 6750 and it works extremely well - lots of USB ports for controls and it overclocks quite well. I'm not familar with your choice of case - my preference is Antec, Lian Li or in my build, a Apevia full tower aluminum case. I find that 3 120 mm case fans keep everything cool without being too noisy. The 8800 Gt is the video card to get, too bad that they are in short supply and priced above retail.I recommend SATA drives - they are simple to install and the smaller cables are better for air flow in the case.Hope you enjoy your new system!Dale Dale
December 21, 200718 yr Jim- Yes, saw that!! Sounds like Santa has realized that I've been a good boy this year! To respond to your MultiMon Frame Rate/Performance query in the FS9 Forum, I've got some fairly recent benchmark data I'll try to post today, here in Hardware Discussion. (don't want to get the Moderators upset this close to Christmas!)Alex Reid
