January 29, 200818 yr Moderator I have a ch yoke & rudders (USB) and a SideWinder3 Stick (also USB)I thought I'd try having them all connected but for some reason using the Stick changes the button mapping that I have set up on the yoke.Has anyone done this successfully and how do you keep things separate?Thanx,VicQ6600 G0 CPU 2.4 o/c 3.65Evga 680i A1 with P31 BIOS 2G XP2-8500 DDR2 1066FSB Mushkin 996535 RAM 5-5-4-12-2T320G 7200 HD partitioned for XP/Vista/Programs 2 - 74G Raptors in RAID0 500G 7200 HD for backup SATA DVD burner Evga 8800GTS 640 PCIx 169.13 betaKandalf LCS case w/ built in liquid cooling 850W Thermaltake power supplyVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-supporter-sigbanner.jpg RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

The Pro Yoke sits down behind my throttles when I'n not using it. I don't bother to reassign or disable the elevaileron axisso could conceivably fly with both the stck and yoke at the sametime :)I use the FSX controls menu to assign the Pro yoke functions thatare not "pre-set" as default. So, I basically do everything in the FSX control menu and the X-45software profiles for a HOTAS situation. January 30, 200818 yr First off plug all your controllers into their own dedicated port. If you happen to unplug them make sure and plug them back into their dedicated port (the exact same port they were origianlly plugged into). The easiest and best way I have found to handle multiple controllers and have aircraft specific programming to boot is to purchase a registered version of FSUIPC.Disable all controllers within FSX and do all your axis assignment and programming via FSUIPC. I currently have a Hotas Cougar, Saitek Pro Yoke with teo throttle quads, Saitek Pro Pedals, and CH Rudder Pedals all connected at once. I can use you every single axis and all buttons of all the connected controllers without the need to revamp things. FSUIPC will allow you to make custom programming for each aircraft if so choose. It's the ultimate in flexibility.
January 30, 200818 yr Author Moderator Good point! I already have a registered FSUIPC - have to dig into the mappiong a bit more.Thanx for the heads up!VicQ6600 G0 CPU 2.4 o/c 3.65Evga 680i A1 with P31 BIOS 2G XP2-8500 DDR2 1066FSB Mushkin 996535 RAM 5-5-4-12-2T320G 7200 HD partitioned for XP/Vista/Programs 2 - 74G Raptors in RAID0 500G 7200 HD for backup SATA DVD burner Evga 8800GTS 640 PCIx 169.13 betaKandalf LCS case w/ built in liquid cooling 850W Thermaltake power supplyVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-supporter-sigbanner.jpg RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
January 30, 200818 yr Hi Vic, I have CH yoke/rudder and use Saitek x45 for the throttle and FWIW I have found that my control config stays put all the time now, don't really know why. I deleted all the assignments for the stick and the only time I have issues is slewing, but that just takes a quick adjustment and I'm there. Also, search for another recent thread in FSX forum about 2 months ago as someone had found an easier way to use multiple configs, if that's your aim.
