November 14, 200421 yr So far all seems OK with the 6/700 series. I'm just starting to get the feel with this amazing new program but it appears that if you Alias the 800 panel to your 6/700 PMDG aircraft everything is fine. . . so far. Maybe there is a pitfall to this procedure ahead but so far so good.Take care - Terry
November 15, 200421 yr Commercial Member Terry,Would you mind telling me how you went about doing that? What precise steps did you take?Let me know and I should be able to tell you based on that if everything will work ok.Cheers,Bryan B. November 15, 200421 yr Hi guys,All I did was alias the 800 panel to the 700 panel. The entry in the 700 panel.cfg is this:[fltsim]alias=PMDG737-800panelSo far I haven't had a problem. But then again I'm not fully aware of what the cross over might do.All that I notice is the different air conditioning arrangement.-Terry

November 16, 200421 yr Commercial Member There shouldn't be any cross-over problems.I don't see why there would be.The only thing is you're going to loose the 600/700's slightly different pneaumatic panel and have the 800/900 version instead, but the differences between the two pneuamatic panels are very small that most won't even notice the difference. This is good news for people who like using 600/700 models.Bryan B. November 16, 200421 yr Thanks Bryan for the confirmation. All seemed OK but wasn't sure. I can certainly live with the updated AC panel.Of course I also added the alias for the 600 too. You need to do both the Panel and the Panel.VC. for both 6/700 aircraft.Take care,Terry
November 16, 200421 yr Update your 600/700 series with PMDGs 800/900 model update patch for the 600/700. Failure to do so shall result in a trashed 2D cockpit!!I know, I did that and had it not been for my magnificent Ghost backup program, I could have spent several hours trying to reverse the damage. Lesson learned. So far so good. I have not completed a FS2Crew flight with a 600/700, but as my plane is parked at KMCO and I must get to KJFK for PSS's new Concorde release and prepare for a "yesteryear" flight across the pond, I shall give it a whirl and report back any problems to you all!!Randy Jura, KPDX
