I just got rid of my stuttering problem in FS9 and am ready to buy some more add-ons. Can any of you please comment on the following items?Cloud 9 F-4 Phantom - I have heard that this is the best Phantom available, tried it, liked it, but am now wondering if there are any others comparable. The AlphaSim version looked a little outdated to me. Does anyone know of another good Phantom or is this one the best?AlphaSim F-105 - I know that this is an old model, but I can't find another Weasel out there and I really want one. Is there another F-105 available, and if not, what do you think of AlphaSim's version? Is the T-38 / C-17 combo pack at FSD any good? Does anybody make an F-111 worth the money? I took a look at AlphaSim's, but thought it also looked outdated.*edit* Forgot one, how about the Tornado from Lago? Thanks in advance for any help

IMHO, the Cloud9 Phantom-II is the only F-4 worthy of your attention.AlphaSim birds, in general, are decent 3D models, mid-to-low fidelity flight models, with fairly primitive panels.I'd classify the FSD T-38/C-17 the same, based on the screenies I've seen. The C-17 panel doesn't come anywhere near the real thing. The T-38 looks like FS98 fare. The Cloud9 F-104 is a good one as well, although they have a somewhat finicky implementation of the boundary layer control system.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile

Brian , glad to hear the stutters are gone. What did you do to get rid of them? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It turned out that my computer kept trying to load the interface for my TVI card that I removed several months ago. I used Filemon to find out what was loading and deleted the files from my computer. You can find the program here at the bottom of the page or just use do a google search:http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysintern...sk/Filemon.mspxAlso - Does anyone here have an opinion about the Lago Tornado? I am interested in the in-flight refueling. Is it worth the cash? Are there any other in-flight refueling programs available?

Had a similar problem with stutters and poor frame rates when on the ground with AI traffic.Ran filemon and saw that FS9 was constantly requesting effects files for AI traffic that were missing from my effects folder. Replaced the missing files, and magic, stutters gone, frame rates back to 28FPS,one happy pilot grateful to filemon. arthurplum UKP4 3.4G1024 mb ram7600GT graphics120Gb sata HD

Sounds very helpful so I downloaded FILEMON. Well, I'm now lost. Doesn't mean a thing to me as I'm not literate in this application. I know, it says in the instructions that one will be an expert in 5 min. HA! Not with this dummy.Would one of you explain the application and the steps in using it for this dummy willing to learn? And remember please, BABY STEPS.Thanks,Jim
