April 13, 200719 yr Hi all, I know that internet explorer 7.0 has been out for some time now, but I remember when it was in beta that there were some issues with FS9. Has then been resolved? I want to install IE 7 and not have it jack up my sim. Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
April 13, 200719 yr Yes, it's definately been resolved Bill. I wouldn't touch it for ages after trying the Beta but have had it without any problems for a couple of months now.
April 13, 200719 yr FS, and most MS programs, use a lot of the IE code.FS2004 is very 'old' by today's computer program standards.I have not heard that this issue has been resolved - in fact, it may always require a manual renaming of a file.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555608But it's a minor item which is easily resolved.

April 13, 200719 yr I've also used the final release of IE7 with no problems. I never bother with Beta versions. Gerry Howard

April 14, 200719 yr Mind boggling. Why would you use IE, when there's Firefox?EwingKATLAlcohol, Tobacco and Firearms should be a store, not a government agency.MSI K8N Neo2 PlatinumAMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0 GHz2GB Corsair PC-3200 512x4 Dual Channel CL2.5 DDR DIMM eVGA nVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT 256MB DDR3Sound Blaster Audigy LSOCZ Powerstream 420WWinXPPro (SP1)
April 14, 200719 yr Because for all the hype, IE7 is pretty good. Yes, it is not perfect but neither is FF nor Opera nor anything else out there!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
April 14, 200719 yr Agreed! I prefer Firefox and Opera to IE6, but, IE7 is so far superior to '6', and I've yet to find a website that won't display properly under IE7, whereas FF and Opera still have difficulties with some...Also, under Vista with Aero, you can't compare IE7 to the others as in my opinion, it's far nicer looking, and more intuitively laid out!!
