Hi L.Jim, You use the same numbers as the engine data numbers of the engines you want to have the effect on. So youre aircraft.cfg entry should look like this for a posky 747:- light.18=8,-14.917,-69.500,0.000,Rainwash.fx, light.19=8,14.917,-39.167,-7.000,Rainwash.fx, light.20=8,14.917,39.167,-7.000,Rainwash.fx, light.21=8,-14.917,69.500,0.000,Rainwash.fx, Your panel.cfg entry is correct. This should get it working.let me know(This is how i got it working on the PMDG 744). Simon.

Any light numbers past light.18 will not work Flight sim limitation. So you have to use lower numbers by removing other lights.P.S make sure there are 3 coordinates for the position of the effects.Steve

Well guys I really have been trying but always without any luck :SHere is a copy from my B777-200 Overland aircraft.cfg[LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landinglight.1 = 2, -104.60, 0.00, 8.30, fx_strobe ,light.2 = 1, 8.40, -0.01, -8.65, fx_beaconb ,light.3 = 1, 38.30, -0.01, 12.90, fx_beaconh ,light.4 = 3, -104.40, 0.00, 4.30, fx_navwhi ,light.5 = 4, 97, 3, 5.5, fx_vclighthlight.6 = 8, 20.920, -27.050, Rainwash.fx,light.7 = 8, 20.920, 27.050, Rainwash.fx,'So I am not going past number 18 but still it will just not work bummer.I have done the entire Overland fleet but all on the Boeing's and Airbus's no luck with this. Only the Reverse Spray will kick in inL.Jim

I have tried it in several FSX planes. On the LVLD I thought I got a few of smoke from the engines after takeoff in heavy snow. There were no effects on the runway. I tried it in the default B737-800 and it did not work at all. I used the engine coordinates from the aircraft.cfg and added a light 8 entry for each engine. Regards, Bob.

There is an updated file in the Avsim library (spray_v2.zip). I tried it with the LVLD and still can't get it to work. I have e-mailed Dennis for help. Regards, Bob.

Sorry Guys,Well, the Level-D... On some PCs the effect works with the Level D 767, but there are some PCs (including my FS PC), on which the gauge doesn't work. So I have to find out, what the difference between those which work and my PC is. I've seen videos from colleagues which use the effect on the LVD and it shows up correctly as it should. The same with the PMDG 747, but here I can't verify it as I don't own it. On the PMDG 737-6/700 the effect never works, as their gauges seems to override every value changed by other gauges. Afaik the Revspray effect doesn't work on this planes, too.An update for night use of my effect is planned to relaese today or tomorrow evening (cest), probably including the files for the MD-80 series effect. The Turboprop gauge will be released later, as there are still some issues with variables used by it.Well, that's it so far, I'm very sorry for these bad news, but everything I am able to fix will be fixed asap!freetings, Dennis

L.JimLooking at your light effects I see you have the lights starting with light.1 I'm pretty sure it has to start with light.0Next your coodinates are still incorrect.I have added -55.0 to your coodinates, should work now.IF the effect is to far forward or back adjust the number -55.0 Good luck Steve//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landinglight.1 = 2, -104.60, 0.00, 8.30, fx_strobe ,light.2 = 1, 8.40, -0.01, -8.65, fx_beaconb ,light.3 = 1, 38.30, -0.01, 12.90, fx_beaconh ,light.4 = 3, -104.40, 0.00, 4.30, fx_navwhi ,light.5 = 4, 97, 3, 5.5, fx_vclighthlight.6 = 8, -55.0, 20.920, -27.050, Rainwash.fx,light.7 = 8, -55.0, 20.920, 27.050, Rainwash.fx,

I've just seen the post from Dennis & his comment about a Turboprop gauge.I have put the rainwash effect on jets & props (eg, Dash8, PC21) & it works fine.

Hi, form the first view I see that you have used the full file name.Remove in all section the ".fx" and it will work/;-)

All my installations have ,fx at the end & they all work.I wonder if some folks have dodgy gauges?
