March 20, 200818 yr You may want to clarify your question as I presume you are not asking how to actually move the sliders.In case that IS what you are asking, just click on them with your mouse and drag them right or left OR click on the little arrow at each end of the slider bar.

March 21, 200818 yr I misunderstood your question -Jim, who posted below is quite right - they both cannot be all the way to the right at the same time. It is hard coded to be that way.
March 21, 200818 yr Lets give him a definitive reply shall we....The two sliders "land/water" and "water" have been miss-represented by microsoft flight simulator developers/gui creators.What they mean is this.....For you to have highest "land" and highest "water" detail, you must put the "land/water" slider in the middle and raise the "water" slider to maximum..This means that the land is still on full slider, but now ur able to have the water at its fullest as well.Cheers,James.
March 23, 200818 yr hello,reading these messages y remember a problem i had when runing fs9 with my old pc. P IV 2,53 ghz/512 MB RAM/agp video card 128 MB. I have installed flight environmnet, and when i try to set the sliders the way FE manual recomend (terrain detail=middle and water effects=full) so the improvements can be seen, i have just realised that everytime I set the sliders in that way and then I click OK, the changes dont remain in the desired position, they automatically go back to the default position (terrain detail=middle and water effect=middle) so I
