March 25, 200917 yr Hi Jim,I'm having the same issues I'm running Vista home premimum 32 with 3gig memory 9600GT Nvidia video card. I did a flight today from VNY to FLL got to east Texas and I get FSX has run out of memory error and this is with ASA running and the last SP. I'm now flying from FLL to TNCM using FSX weather with no issues so far fbut I will report back once I land there.Brett Brett Wells

March 25, 200917 yr Try cleanmem. Read the first post in this thread over at the PMDG forum -- http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=246369It simply installs to the Windows Scheduler and runs in the background, unnoticed, every 30 minutes by default.Despite some claims in this PMDG thread, it is NOT snake oil. That doesn't mean it is a cure all and will work on every system. For me, it has garnered a seat at the dinner table. It has cured an issue I had with the Wilco e-jets upon changing planes at the end of a flight to save my situation with a default plane. If you're having OOMs due to duplicate afcads, this may not resolve your issue. If you have OOMs due to memory leaks, this MAY help. I have no clue how it will work if your running ASA and FSX as I'm running ASA via Wideclient with FS9. It's certainly worth a try and won't hurt anything if it doesn't work for you.Ed Lin, D.O.S.

March 26, 200917 yr Hi Brett,Are you using the 3GB switch? What else is running besides ASA and FSX?Default plane or add-on?We are trying to gather as much information as possible. Thanks,
March 26, 200917 yr Hi Brett,Are you using the 3GB switch? What else is running besides ASA and FSX?Default plane or add-on?We are trying to gather as much information as possible. Thanks,Hi Jim,3GB switch? I know that my vista is seeing that I have 3GB of memory when i goto vista welcome page it shows there. When running FSX, ASA I will fly the Wilco Citation 10, Legacy and LDS767. When I run just FSX weather I have no OOM errors its only with ASA. Now when I had ASX I had no issues whats so ever ran perfectly i hope this helps.Brett Brett Wells

Just did a flight from KMCC to KCRQ with the wilco Legacy with sqbox4, ASA and it was alittle over an hour flight with no issues. I will continue to test it on longer flights and see what happens.Brett Brett Wells
April 20, 200917 yr I upgraded to ASA and XGraphics this weekend, I am seeing OOM on long haul flights, some details:Quad core 9400 with 4G of DDR3, Nvidia 9800 GTX, Vista Ultimate X64I fly FSX nearly exclusively, long haul flights with PMDG 747 or MD11.Before the upgrade I just did a flight from Seattle to Korea without the problem, but afterthe flight from Korea to Paris had an OOM failure in 8 hours I think, I reduced the texturesto 256 thinking it might help, tried again, and it still failed with OOM at some point, I couldn'ttell how long.I had wanted more memory anyway, ordered another 4G, but it sounds like that still mightnot help. I will try the page file reconstruction tonight.I really enjoy the gorgeous skies, so I hope this can get fixed :)Regards,Jack Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines
April 20, 200917 yr Hi Jack,Your purchased version is B316 and I would like you to try SP1 Beta 2, which is B394. We did program some fixes for this between the two builds. The beta can be found in a pinned topic at the top of this forum. Thanks!

Then I reinstalled the 512 XGraphics textures, and started up a flight from Seoul to Paris, either if that has a problem or after the flight if not I will update to B394.Thanks for the personal support, I'm glad to be a customer :)Jack Jack F. April 21, 200917 yr I'm just getting underway with a new system (specs below) and did my first cross-country flight yesterday - using ASA build 394 and the Carenado 172. System froze about a half-hour into the flight, during an ATC transmission. On a couple of previous test runs, I'd noticed aircraft loading with missing textures - they appear all white. I'm not certain that the problem is ASA - I've overclocked both the CPU and the GPU, and memory timings are tight. I'll try playing with some of those variables. But I wanted to mention the problem here in case it's helpful. To my knowledge, the freeze and the texture issues have happened only with ASA - but again, I'll try to verify that.Alan Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery

Was resizing the GPS in the Carenado Mooney, on the ground at KMTP running the Gray and Rainy theme. So obviously I've got some more work to do here and can't say that ASA is the problem. As a first step I've backed off the video card overclock and I'll see if that helps. Will advise.Alan Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
April 22, 200917 yr Well, rebuilding the system page file, and using Cleanmem did NOT solve the OOM problem.BUT, B394 did, so the OOM problem is now solved for me! HURRAY :( That being said, my hope that ASA was, on its own, a solution to the wind problem, isunfulfilled :( It seems that its better, but i still get radical enough transitions that it knocksmy MD11 out of autoflight mode, not a good thing for unattended flying :(I thought this was going to substitute for a registered FSUIPC, but it isn't making itright now. Jim, do you believe that it should? Loving ASA together with the XGraphics 512 textures though! Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines
