January 16, 200917 yr Hi Guys!My problem is, when I try to feed the FMC with the coroute and the Dep/Arr. datas, it says: It is not in data base. I have the newest Airac. What is the problem?
January 16, 200917 yr Commercial Member I sent all my PLN and RTE files to your address. I had 2099 PLN files and 416 RTE files.JanJan,Thanks to your help the problem has been identified. You can now put back all your flight plan files, except for:indonesia.plnThis file that was in your "My Documents/Flight Simulator Files" folder, although it had a .pln exception it was not a valid FS flightplan file. Actually it was not even a text file, it was a binary file. This file was creating an infinite loop causing the freeze. For the next update I have added a safeguard against this kind of situations, so than the FMS won't freeze even if a "bad" file is encountered. Paul:Regarding the delay to read the files: Using Jan's 2102+416 = 2518 files it took around 4-5 seconds to search on by P4 3.0 GHz PC. I suppose that with any other more-up-to-date PC it won't more than a couple of seconds, which I guess is much less than a real aircraft FMS would need if it had 2,500 flight plans in the database. How long does it take with the 1100 flight plans on your PC? And what is your PC configuration? If it takes much more than the above, then something else might be the problem. If it is really a problem I could check it for you if you send me the files. Michael FrantzeskakisPrecision Manuals Development Grouphttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
March 11, 201016 yr I was wondering how one would check a PLN or RT2 file to see if it was the "problem"...I have a bunch of company VA files and would hate to delete all of them. Is this a matter of looking for a certain code in the file or lack of code in a file??CaptPaulP.S. different Paul from the thread
March 13, 201016 yr Not that simple, you can try elimination by moving half to a temp folder instead of deleting then half of those etc. This is an efficient search algorithm. Dan Downs KCRP
