I don't think you need to edit anything. But beware that not a aircraft make good AI planes. most will eat FPS alive. Better to use real AI planes. Even AI planes made for FSX do not always work well. Trial and error.Bob

Hi Bob an thanks for your reply.I am using planes like Captain Sim F-104 as AI. I guess I have a fairly fast system and my framerates are satistfactory (+20fps at Edwards afb)I have done this before, and now I am working on historic testaircrafts at Edwards. (Great fun to meet the Douglas Stiletto X-3 or the YBell XP-59A Aircomet)Normaly I use a airfile I now works, but as I recall it, one should edit in the general part of the Aircraft.configurationfile to have satistfactory results. Jakob,As said here, the problem with most "flying" aircraft is the size - default or payware. It's just not worth the loss of performance. I don't know what your trying to accomplish, but there are very few aircraft types that don't have an AI equivalent. One exception - you can get away from most performance hits by using (occasionally) "flying" aircraft by making them static. I have done that for a few aircraft. You just make an FP that keeps the aircraft stationary. But, even this eats up performance.fb

As said above. Framerates is not a issue on my system. Lots of planes built for FS2002 or fs9 can be used as AI with great results due to the much faster processors we have today.As I recall it, one should edit in the general part of the Aircraft.configurationfile to have satistfactory results. AI aircraft will respond to some aircraft.cfg edits; for instance some of the flight_tuning section vars can have an effect, and the fuel flow can have an effect, too. You should go over to Project AI's site, I recall much in-depth discussion on there about how to finesse and tweak an AI flight model.
