January 14, 200917 yr First of all I want to congratulations to all PMDG team. MD11 is another really nice addon, very professional work. After make some short flights and getting knowledge about how to use this bird, now it's time for real fuel calculation.is there any fuel calculation program development in future by PMDG? FMC is helping for fuel calculation but I'm sure this is not easy or trustable way :) if we can see (+) value on estimated fuel on board in FMC/program page, fuel value would be enough but I'm sure there should be better way.Do you have any idea or suggestion? hakan"737"guven Istanbul/Turkey
January 14, 200917 yr I would suggest fuel planner incorporated in FSBuild profile. Very accurate, very professional work that includes even step-climb performance and calculates winds accoring to ASV6.5 (not sure if FSB works with ASA). I have made already 6 long-hauls and fuel calculation was accurate all the time.Just make sure to edit MTOW and ZFW entries in FSB profiles for proper weight calculation according to PMDG data. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
January 14, 200917 yr VRoute Premium now calculates fuel values for the PMDG MD-11, don Iñigo Bildarratz
January 14, 200917 yr a little help for the calculation:LH calculates for holdings the amount of 7.200 kg/h for their MD-11 FSX is the VISTA of flight simming ... best regards, PJ
January 15, 200917 yr Author Thanks guys, appreciated.a little question; FSB is calculating only total fuel , is it right? (I'm not FSB builder but if it is calculate each tank, I would be an user)thanks hakan"737"guven Istanbul/Turkey
January 19, 200917 yr Thanks guys, appreciated.a little question; FSB is calculating only total fuel , is it right? (I'm not FSB builder but if it is calculate each tank, I would be an user)No quite sure what you mean, but yes, FSB calculates total fuel for you, not how you should distribute the fuel in each tank of the MD-11.However, you don't need that information - just type in the amount of total fuel required on the MDCU, FUEL INIT page, Refuel Qty box. Then start the refueling process thru MDCU, press MENU->FS Shortcuts->Refueling-> change refueling mode to FMS and hit START. The fuel will automatically start to load into the tanks correctly.
