January 15, 200917 yr Would like to fly to various bases in Antartica, such as NZIR, NZWD and NISD (Ice Station Delta).Unfortunately the AIRAC database doesn't have. Would appreciate any guidance on how to add them to the PMDG airports database. Thanks & regards Joaquin Blanco Intel Core i9-9900K at 5Ghz, Corsair Hydro H100i RGB PLATINUM CPU cooler, Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E,Motherboard, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super 8GB GDDR6, G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB DDR4 3200MHz Memory, 500GB Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2 PCIe,2TB Samsung 860 QVO Solid State Drive, 2TB, 2 x Samsung 860 Evo 2TB, 1 x 1TB Samsung 860 Evo, Corsair RM650x 80 PLUS Gold 650W PSU.
January 15, 200917 yr I might be wrong but if an airport is not in the data base - real or PMDG - the only thing you can do is construct it yourself in the FMS. Go to REF INDEX > NEW WAYPOINT, in IDENT enter the runway ident eg RW27. You can then enter its LAT/LONG, ELEV, LENGTH, CRS and CATEGORY.You can also construct some waypoints for an approach like OM, FAF etc. in the REF INDEX > NEW WAYPOINT page using PLACE/BRG/DIST from your new runway.Again I'm not sure but you can only use this runway for an approach, not take-off because there's insufficient data to initialise?I'll try it as well on my next flight, will be fun to land on ice at a place like McMurdo...Chris G
January 15, 200917 yr Search for posts about old Kai Tak, there you can read about how to add new airports to the airac.
