February 3, 200917 yr I tried the demo specifically to see if it would fix the white AI planes in DX10 mode, and I am pleased to report that it seems to have fixed most of them. Two AI planes that did not work are the Gulfstream V and the F90, both GA. However, all of the commercial aircraft from all of the popular freeware AI sites (Aardvark, TFS, AI Malcontent, DJC) seemed to work as far as I can tell. For that alone, it seems to be worth it so I can run in DX10 mode to get better lighting and take advantage of my hardware. I will do some more testing.Okay, a little more testing revealed the problem with my Gulfstream and Beech Models. I forgot that I converted the textures previously on those models from DXT3 to DDS, so when Add On Converter X tried to convert, apparently there was a conflict. Anyway, all is good as far as I can tell. All of my AI models show up properly using DX10 now. Previously, I did have some models that would not display textures. I can't speak for add on aircraft or scenery conversions from FS9 to FSX in DX10 mode, but I can tell you I am satisfied with the product because I can now fly in DX10 with all my AI aircraft displaying properly. Like the other poster said, sometimes when switching views there is a slight delay in textures loading on the AI aircraft, and it displays a blue tint with the Microsoft logo on it, but it is not all the time, and when it does, its only for a split second. Hope this helps.
August 4, 201114 yr It does not eliminate the DX10 flicker, but conversion of non DX10-compliant aircraft is good and without effect on framerates.I use it with the Digital Aviation Fokker and Do-27: Michael Michael Thesen MSFS, HP Reverb G2, Gigabyte B760 32Gb, Samsung 970 EVO, Geforce RTX 4070-TI, Win11, i7-14700KF, Thrustmaster T16000M, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals
