February 1, 200917 yr Whenever I try to record with FRAPS the FPS counter goes from yellow to red and the back to yellow. I DON'T have the F9 key used in FS2004 and i have 84.1 Gigs of space on my Hard Drive. FRAPS records other programs like GTA: SA but CANNOT record FS2004. Can you help me!!
February 2, 200917 yr Hello,Just a shot in the dark :)Had you try to capture a video with the FRAPS setting "half size" ?Regards.
February 3, 200917 yr ... I DON'T have the F9 key used in FS2004 ...Have you tried using a different key anyway? I've always used "Scroll Lock" since that way I can also have a light on the keyboard when recording is in progress...Geoff
February 3, 200917 yr I am using FRAPS version 2.9.4 build 7037 and yes i have tried different keys with no luck
February 3, 200917 yr Don't know if will help but you may wish to try the latest version which is (as of yesterday) 2.9.8Good Luck.
February 3, 200917 yr i doubt it will, i checked the change log and it said nothing about the problem
February 3, 200917 yr I don't believe you have posted your complete system specs.FS is a very processor intensive application - more so than most other "games" I have been told.Fraps also requires a good deal of processing capability so I cannot help but wonder if your system is simply not powerful enough for both to run effectivetly at the same time.Post your specs and folks with far more expertise than I may comment. :(

February 3, 200917 yr HelloReaded your specifications.I'm never affirmative at 100% (how can be with informatic) but methink your system play a role in your problemThis must be your concern:System Memory 448 MB at least bizzare number .. and low.Video Adapter SiS 661FX/GX Mirage Graphics (64 MB) .. very low !Regards.
February 3, 200917 yr Hello,LOL...My guess was for your specific problem (FRAPS not functionning with FS2004) and not for the other non problems applications or games .... :)Never be so affirmative when it's a informatic problem .. each game engines and requirements for ditto are sometimes very differents.I use FRAPS with differents games also .. and when recording .. some have a drain of FPS .. some not.If you want make some tests:Try to record first FS2004 flight with FSrecorder and record the replay with FRAPS .. maybe this will help !http://www.fs-recorder.net/Regards.
