March 27, 200917 yr Now that I've found "the groove" for my FSX system, I can spend time again tinkering with airplanes and generally going for flights and exploring the scenery.Although I've got the Cheyenne and C441 twins, I like something simple but powerful to take cross country touring, and have gone back to flying the default Baron after updating the avionics. One thing I do not like on the Baron, is that the virtual panel is set up so that you cannot easily add any new gauges. There is lots of space on the panel, but it is not accessible. So, with the GPS banned to a popup panel, and MS having forgotten to include the NAV/GPS switch in the virtual cockpit, it can be hard to tell if the AP is being driven by the NAV radio or the GPS.I finally found that I could reduce the size of the Aircraft registration plaque a bit and squeeze in the Cessna GPS/NAV indicator.. and this works really well. So, if you ever have the same problem, here is a possible solution.[VCockpit03]...gauge06=n_number_plaque!n_number_plaque, 170, 486, 66, 25 ...gauge13=Cessna!Nav_GPS_Annunciator, 236, 487, 23, 23 Bert

There is lots of space on the panel, but it is not accessible. It is not accessible simply because the "panel" itself isn't mapped for the $vc texture. Each "gauge'" has a separate polygon to which the $vc texture has been "mapped." :( Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
