Normally thats a result of missing the textures called by the effects file , those are located in the texture folder found in effects,a genuine copy from shockwave would not have done that , and if it did a reinstallation would rectify the problem.A sim download site had posted a pirated copy of the package this passed weekend , did you download it ? and did they forget something in the package ?

I'm a registered owner and had the same problem and reinstalling did not fix it. You will find an answer here with a link for a fix in the 6th post: http://shockwaveproductions.com/forum/view...b23fd612cb70721Just because someone is having problems with a program doesn't necessarily mean that they are a pirate.

You should not judge so quickly. It could be a genuine product, with a real problem.

My response was correct, it was in fact a missing bitmap , as an aircraft developer and staff member at Avsim piracy is a issuethat is highly frowned upon , there was an episode this past weekend involving the upload of Shockwave 3d lights to another website and it was dealt withquickly. I would be more than happy to hear this wasn’t the case here, but didn’t and had found the timing of the post suspect as well as it not being posted at Shockwave 3D lights forum for help as might be expected

When the security measures utilized these days are considered there is some truth to that , but in the case at hand its quite specific to the few hundred who downloaded the product .It

I have done a lot of research on this and it's created with DX10 preview enabled. Shockwave 3d lights is NOT DX10 compliant and they have no intentions of ever making it compliant. The problem goes away with DX10 disabled. It's difficult to understand why the blocks appear with DX10 enabled as the default lights have no problems. A little research in the Shockwave forum will show you this is the cause of this problem and their statement that they do not intend to fix the problem. It is NOT a driver problem.Best regards,Jim
