June 1, 200917 yr I in no way know Peter Dowson or am affiliated with his work other than on the user friend, but after finally moving up from the free FSUIPC to the registered with WideFS, I must say I'm impressed! My laptop didn't get much usage other than the occasional school project or vacation trip/long flights. I feel like I've got a whole new toy to play with! Running Squawkbox in Vatsim with Active Sky Advanced, ACARS and FSC in the background proved to bring down frame rates, and was unrealistic and downright annoying, ALT-Tabing out every 10 minutes. Though the networking/setup was daunting at first, I could set it all up in less than an hour now! It's well worth the time and a great investment to this hobby of mine!!! One happy customer :( ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
June 1, 200917 yr I agree. WideFS is a great program. I have a hard wired LAN linking two old PCs to my FS9 PC. One has ActiveSky and Radar Contact; the other has vasFMC and several ACARS programs for VAs I fly for. The system is rock solid, even with everything up and running. In addition, I have a three monitor set up with a KVM switch. I use one monitor for the Wide FS inputs and a second as an extended desktop for undocking gauges, FSNav etc from my main screen. John
June 2, 200917 yr Yep, another happy camper here. I have a similar setup as John and I simply cannot imagine being without WideFS. Radar Contact/PFE, Active Sky, FS Flight Keeper, FDC and so on, all of them on my secondary and tertiary (old) boxes. WideFS and FSUIPC must be THE most important add-ons for FS. Regards,Jure

Regards,JureI got FSUIPC registered for FS9 only. I now also got two computers. I saw that buying FSUIPC for FSX and WideFS for both FS9 and FSX end up as rather expensive. So I'm considering waiting a little and thinking about wether I need WideFs for both Fs9 and FsX
June 2, 200917 yr Author I actually got mine discounted by buying FSUIPC and WideFS in one purchase.
